Singor Mobley
Singor A. Mobley (born October 12, 1972) is a former American football safety and linebacker in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League, for the Dallas Cowboys and Edmonton Eskimos. He played college football at Washington State University in Pullman. Early years Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Mobley attended Curtis Senior High School in University Place, where he was a two-way player as a running back and defensive back. As a junior, he rushed for 1,147 yards and 13 touchdowns. As a senior in the fall of 1990, he finished with 1,579 yards and 16 touchdowns, South Puget Sound League MVP-defensive back, co-MVP-running back and Class AAA All-state honors at both positions. Curtis Senior High School
Curtis Senior High School is a public high school located in University Place, Washington. Curtis Senior High School is a part of the University Place School District and the only high school in the district. The University Place school district includes most of University Place and portions of Fircrest and Tacoma. History The school's namesake comes from the former UPSD Superintendent George R. Curtis. The school opened in 1957 as a joint junior-senior high school at the corner of 40th and Grandview. In 1969, a high school facility was built about 500 yards east of the junior high that then extended up 40th Street. After this, the original site became just a junior high school. The 1995 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 22–23, 1995 at the Paramount Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. The draft was the first with the expansion Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars franchises, who each received two extra picks between the first and second rounds. The 1994 Washington State Cougars football team was an American football team that represented Washington State University in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10) during the 1994 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their sixth season under head coach Mike Price, the Cougars compiled an 7–4 regular season record (5–3 in Pac-10, fourth), and outscored their opponents 192 to 136. The preseason media poll had picked WSU to finish last in the conference. The team's statistical leaders included Chad Davis with 2,299 passing yards, Frank Madu with 494 rushing yards, and Albert Kennedy with 551 receiving yards. The 1993 Washington State Cougars football team was an American football team that represented Washington State University in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10) during the 1993 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their fifth season under head coach Mike Price, the Cougars compiled a 5–6 record (3–5 in Pac-10, seventh), and outscored their opponents 271 to 248. The team's statistical leaders included Mike Pattinson with 1,430 passing yards, Kevin Hicks with 497 rushing yards, and Deron Pointer with 996 receiving yards. The 1992 Copper Bowl featured the unranked Utah Utes and the #18 Washington State Cougars, as part of the 1992–93 NCAA football bowl season. It was played on the night of Tuesday, December 29, at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona. Washington State scored first on a 3-yard touchdown run by running back Shaumbe Wright-Fair, then junior quarterback Drew Bledsoe fired an 87-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Phillip Bobo, increasing the lead to 14–0. Bledsoe would finish the game 30-for-46 passing for 476 yards. Wright-Fair scored on a 3-yard touchdown run for a 21–0 Cougar advantage at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Utah's Frank Dolce threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Shaun Williams, and Keith Williams scored on a 25-yard touchdown run to make the score 21–14. Apple Cup
The Apple Cup is an American college football rivalry game between the University of Washington Huskies and Washington State University Cougars, the two largest universities in the state of Washington. Both are members of the North Division of the First played in 1900, , the matchup is traditionally the final game of the regular season for both teams and generally took place on the Saturday preceding Thanksgiving. Mike Price
Michael Bruce Price (born April 6, 1946) is a former American football coach. He was the head coach at Weber State College from 1981 to 1988, Washington State University from 1989 to 2002, and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) from 2004 to 2012. Price returned to UTEP as interim head coach for the final seven games of the 2017 season. He was hired at the University of Alabama in December 2002, but was fired before coaching a game in 2003. Early years Born in Colorado, Price grew up in Everett, Washington, north of Seattle. He was the son of Walt Price, the longtime head football coach at Everett Junior College. At Everett High School, Price was a teammate of the son of Pinky Erickson, the head coach at cross-town rival Cascade High.
