''Singam Puli'' (') is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Sai Ramani. It stars Jiiva in dual roles, co-starring Divya Spandana, Honey Rose and Santhanam. With its release delayed multiple times, the film saw a theatrical release on 4 March 2011. The film was dubbed in Telugu as ''Simham Puli''. It opened to a mixed critical reception, and was moderately successful at the box office. Amar Choudary (born 4 January 1984), known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and film producer who works mainly in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi films. He is the youngest son of film producer R. B. Choudary. He began his career as a child actor in 1991 in films produced by his father. He made his debut as a lead actor in his father's 50th production, ''Aasai Aasaiyai'' (2003). The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is a statutory film-certification body in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. It is tasked with "regulating the public exhibition of films under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act 1952."
