Sing If You Can
''Sing If You Can'' is a British game show broadcast on ITV. It features celebrities attempting to sing in front of a live studio audience whilst various attempts are made to disrupt their performances. It is presented by Keith Lemon and Stacey Solomon, though originally Vernon Kay was scheduled to host, but he felt that it would be better hosted by a comedian. The show was sponsored by Argos, supporting the charity Teenage Cancer Trust. Format Six celebrities are divided into two teams, each with a captain. After the celebrity has performed, a three-person judging panel views their thoughts. After all six celebrities have performed, the audience vote to decide which team wins. The losing team captain is dropped into a tank of water, and the winning team then perform a final song on a spinning stage. Zoe Birkett
Zoe Birkett (born 16 June 1985) is an English singer and musical theatre performer. Birkett was the highest placing female contestant on Pop Idol in 2001 and later appeared on Big Brother. Her first single, Treat Me Like A Lady, was released in 2003 and charted in the UK Top 40. Since 2009, Birkett has performed in West End theatre. Richard Groves (born 23 April 1968) is an English actor best known for playing Garry Hobbs in ''EastEnders'' from 2000–09. Rob Rouse
Rob Rouse (born 1974) is an English comedian. Overview Rouse grew up in Gawsworth, Cheshire. He trained as a geography teacher at the University of Sheffield and got into comedy in his final year at university. Having fully qualified as a teacher, he decided that teaching was not for him after spending two days as a supply teacher. Instead, he decided to move to London to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. "Born to Be Wild" is a song written by Mars Bonfire and first performed by the band Steppenwolf. "Ave Maria" is a popular and much-recorded setting of the Latin prayer Ave Maria, originally published in 1853 as "". The piece consists of a melody by the French Romantic composer Charles Gounod that he superimposed over an only very slightly changed version of Bach's Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, from Book I of his '' The Well-Tempered Clavier'', 1722. The 1853 publication has French text, but it is the 1859 version with the Latin Ave Maria which became popular.
