Sindi Dlathu
Sindiswa Dlathu (born January 4, 1974) is a South African people, South African actress and musician. She is well known for portraying Thandaza Mokoena on ''Muvhango'', a role she played from the show's inception in 1997 until her departure in 2018. Dlathu left ''Muvhango'' to play a leading role in the telenovela The River (South African TV series), ''The River'', where she plays the role of Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana, a fierce woman, who would do anything to protect her wealth and maintain her lavish lifestyle. Career Dlathu was cast as the lead role's understudy in the stage version of ''Sarafina! (musical), Sarafina!''. In the screen version, she worked alongside Whoopi Goldberg and was commissioned as an assistant choreographer to Michael Peters (choreographer), Michael Peters. In 1988, with the second cast led by Seipati Sothoane whom Sindi understudied. Meadowlands, Gauteng
Meadowlands is a suburb of Soweto, Gauteng Province, South Africa. It was founded in the early 1950s during the apartheid era for black residents from Sophiatown. History Meadowlands also known as Ndofaya has its origin with the introduction of the '' Natives Resettlement Act, Act No 19 of 1954'' with its aim to move black people out of the centre of Johannesburg from multi-cultural areas such as Sophiatown and the Western Native Townships. The Urban Resettlement Board was created and the forced removals began on 10 February 1955 and would continue until the mid-sixties when most of the new township had been completed. Early residents were separated into new zones of the township based on their ethnic background and identifiable by the street names. Nomhle Nkonyeni (9 April 1942 – 10 July 2019) was a South African actress who has appeared in television series such as ''Mzansi'', ''Tsha Tsha'' and the 2007 mini-series ''Society'', as well as feature films such as ''Of Good Report'' (2013). ''The Queen'' is a South African telenovela that premiered on Mzansi Magic on August 1, 2016 and on Canal Plus in April 2020. It is produced by Ferguson Films, owned by acting veterans Connie Ferguson and her late husband Shona Ferguson. The Queen runs at a 260 episode per season and airs every Monday to Friday at 21h00 on Mzansi Magic. Abigail Kubeka
Abigail Kubheka (born 7 December 1939) is a South African singer, songwriter and actress. On the SABC TV series '' Generations: The Legacy'', she plays the role of Zondiwe Mogale, the mother of Tau Mogale (Rapulana Seiphemo) and Tshidi Phakade (Letoya Makhene). Personal life Kubeka was born 7 December 1939 in Orlando East. She attended a missionary boarding school in Kilnerton. From a young age, she showed an interest in singing. Career Abigail Kubeka started singing with popular musicians such Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and has performed with many others including Thandi Klaasen. Muvhango
''Muvhango'' is a South African television soap opera, created by Duma Ndlovu. It is broadcast on the public TV channel SABC 2, and has an average of 4 million daily viewers. The first episode was aired on 7 April 1997. It was the first Tshivenda language TV drama, but later became multilingual in order to showcase that languages and cultures of South Africa should be used to unite rather than divide. The creator of ''Muvhango'' is Zulu by ancestry, but can speak Tshivenda and is fluent in all South African languages. The show is built on a premise that "umuntu ''ngumuntu ngabantu''" meaning that we exist within a context. The show has strong family orientated storylines that seeks to speak to the conflict between the traditional and the modern ways.
