Sinbad Jr. And His Magic Belt
''Sinbad Jr. and his Magic Belt'' is a series of five-minute cartoons that originally aired in first-run syndication between 1965-1966. Produced by Hanna-Barbera for the American International Television division of American International Pictures, they were shown during local children's television programming. The series is partially lost, with only a handful of surviving episodes left. Sinbad Jr. and Salty will both appear in the HBO Max series ''Jellystone!'' Dal McKennon
Dallas Raymond McKennon (July 19, 1919 – July 14, 2009), sometimes credited as Dal McKennon, was an American film, television and voice actor, who had a career lasting over 50 years. During World War II he served in the Army Signal Corps and was stationed in Alaska. Career Born near La Grande, Oregon, McKennon's best-known voice roles were Gumby for Art Clokey, Archie Andrews in several different '' Archie'' series for Filmation, and the primary voice of Buzz Buzzard in the ''Woody Woodpecker'' cartoons. In the early 1950s, McKennon created and hosted his own daily kids TV wraparound show, ''Space Funnies''/''Capt. Jet'', which was aired weekday mornings on KNXT (KCBS-TV) TV Ch. 2 in Los Angeles. "Sailing, Sailing" is a song written in 1880 by Godfrey Marks, a pseudonym of British organist and composer James Frederick Swift (1847–1931). It is also known as "Sailing" or "Sailing, sailing, over the bounding main" (the first line of its chorus). The song's chorus is widely known and appears in many children's songbooks. The preceding verses are little known. It appears in Disney's 1961 Goofy short ''Aquamania''. The song also appears on Disney's "Sing Along Songs" Volume 6 - 'Under The Sea' which also features the Sailor's Hornpipe during which Ludwig Von Drake is setting off on a cruise to find the Little Mermaid. The Big Cartoon DataBase (or BCDB for short) is an online database of information about animated cartoons, animated feature films, animated television shows, and cartoon shorts. The BCDB project began in 1997 as a list of Disney animated features on creator Dave Koch's local computer. In response to increasing interest in the material, the database went online in 1998 as a searchable resource dedicated to compiling information about cartoons, including production details such as voice actors, producers, and directors, as well as plot summaries and user reviews of cartoons. In 2003, BCDB became a 501(c) non-profit corporation. On June 24, 2009, it was announced by creator Dave Koch on his BCDB forums that the site had 100,000 titles. Don Markstein's Toonopedia (subtitled A Vast Repository of Toonological Knowledge) is an online encyclopedia of print cartoons, comic strips and animation, initiated February 13, 2001. Donald D. Markstein, the sole writer and editor of Toonopedia, termed it "the world's first hypertext encyclopedia of toons" and stated, "The basic idea is to cover the entire spectrum of American cartoonery." Markstein began the project during 1999 with several earlier titles: he changed Don's Cartoon Encyberpedia (1999) to Don Markstein's Cartoonopedia (2000) after learning the word "Encyberpedia" had been trademarked. ''Sadko'' (russian: Садко) is a 1953 Soviet adventure fantasy film directed by Aleksandr Ptushko and adapted by Konstantin Isayev, from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's eponymous opera, which was based on a Russian ''bylina ''(epic tale) with the same name. Bluto
Bluto, at times known as Brutus, is a cartoon and comics character created in 1932 by E. C. Segar, Elzie Crisler Segar as a one-time character, named "Bluto the Terrible", in his ''Thimble Theatre'' comic strip (later renamed ''Popeye''). Bluto made his first appearance on September 12 of that year. Fleischer Studios adapted him the next year (1933) to be the main antagonist of their theatrical ''Popeye'' animated cartoon series. Character Bluto is a cruel, bearded, muscular bully who serves as Popeye's nemesis and archrival for the love of Olive Oyl.
