Simón Bross
Simón Bross (born February 22, 1960) is a Mexican film director, director and film producer, producer. As a director in advertising he has won at the world's most important festivals: London International Advertising Awards, New York Festival, Festival Iberoamericano de Publicidad, FIAP ( es, Festival Iberoamericano de Publicidad), Círculo de Oro, Clio Awards, and Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, Cannes Lions. He is the first (and only) Mexican director to be named member of FIAP's "Hall of fame". Also, Círculo Creativo de México gave him a special tribute for his career in the advertising industry. The Gunn Report (England) ranked him among the world's best advertising film directors. He also won the award Volcán de Oro in the Festival Pantalla de Cristal for his brilliant career achievements (including other mentions). He also directs and produces for television. Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival
The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) includes feature films, documentaries, and short films from the Spanish and Portuguese diaspora. The six-day festival was established in 1997. The festival was founded by Marlene Dermer (a native of Peru) and Edward James Olmos. The 13th year of the festival in 2009 included 75 films such as a screening of Spanish director's Pedro Almodóvar's ''Broken Embraces'' at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Almodóvar received the festival's Gabi lifetime Achievement Award. Montreal World Film Festival
The Montreal World Film Festival (WFF; french: le Festival des Films du Monde) was one of Canada's oldest international film festivals and the only competitive film festival in North America accredited by the FIAPF (although the Toronto International Film Festival is North America's only accredited non-competitive festival). The public festival, which was founded in 1977 as a replacement for the defunct Montreal International Film Festival (1960–68), is held annually in late August in the city of Montreal in Quebec. CineVegas
CineVegas was a film festival held annually at the Palms Casino Resort in Paradise, Nevada that ran from 1999 to 2009, typically in early June. CineVegas was originally held at Bally's. The first Festival featured “The Best of the Fests”, showcasing independent films that had previously earned awards and acclaim at other worldwide festivals. In 2000, the Festival moved to Bally's sister hotel Paris. Actor Dennis Hopper received the Marquee Award and became the chair of the CineVegas Film Festival Creative Advisory Board in 2004, continuing as chairman until his death in 2010.
