Simphiwe Nongqayi
Simphiwe Nongqayi (born 18 February 1972) is a South African former professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2012. He held the IBF super-flyweight title from 2009 to 2010 and challenged for the WBO junior-featherweight title in 2011. As an amateur Nongqayi represented South Africa at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Professional career Nongqayi won the vacant IBF super-flyweight title by defeating Jorge Arce on 15 September 2009. He retained the title on 19 April 2010, fighting Malik Bouziane to a majority draw, but then lost the title to Juan Alberto Rosas on 31 July 2010. Super flyweight, also referred to as junior bantamweight, is a weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . History The first title match in this division was in 1980, when the World Boxing Council responded to pressure from Asian and Latin American members who felt the difference between the flyweight limit and the bantamweight limit was too significant. Rafael Orono won the inaugural title in February of that year by defeating Seung-Hoon Lee. The World Boxing Association followed suit in 1981 when Gustavo Ballas won the vacant title by knocking out Sok-Chul Baek. Dordrecht is a town situated in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Dordrecht was founded in 1856 by Baron Smiddolff (later changed to Smithdorff), a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church. Carletonville is a town in Gauteng and the seat of the Merafong City Local Municipality in the West Rand District Municipality in Gauteng, South Africa, just north of the richest gold-mining area in the world. Francisco Arce Armenta (born August 29, 1981) is a Mexican professional boxer. He is a former IBF Latino Super Flyweight champion and was NABF Super Bantamweight champion. Francisco is also the younger brother of former five-division world champion Jorge Arce. Professional career Early in his career he lost to future world champion Giovanni Segura in Maywood, California.
