Simone Christensen (born 10 February 1994) is a Danish female BMX rider, representing her nation at international competitions. She won the gold medal in the women's event at the 2015 European Games. She competed in the time trial event and race event at the 2015 UCI BMX World Championships. BMX, an abbreviation for bicycle motocross or bike motocross, is a cycle sport performed on BMX bikes, either in competitive BMX racing or freestyle BMX, or else in general street or off-road recreation. History BMX began during the early 1970s in the United States when children began racing their bicycles on dirt tracks in southern California, inspired by the motocross stars of the time.
