Simon Terodde
Simon Terodde (born 2 March 1988) is a German professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bundesliga club Schalke 04. He is the current goalscoring record holder of the 2. Bundesliga, with 172 goals, having been the season top-scorer four times, for VfL Bochum in 2016, VfB Stuttgart in 2017, 1. FC Köln in 2019 and Schalke 04 in 2022, winning the division title with all but Bochum. Football career MSV Duisburg Playing for MSV Duisburg, Terodde was the top goalscorer of the Under 19 Bundesliga West in the 2006–07 season scoring 21 goals. His first professional appearance for Duisburg came against FC Ingolstadt 04 in the 2. Bundesliga on 19 October 2008. Oberliga Nordrhein
The Oberliga Nordrhein was the highest Football League in the region of Nordrhein which is part of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1978 to 2008. In its last season, it was one of nine Oberligas in German football, the 4th tier of the German football league system. In 2008, it was replaced by the NRW-Liga (Oberliga Nordrhein-Westfalen), a new statewide league. Overview The league was formed in 1978 as a highest level of play for the two regions of Mittelrhein and Niederrhein, which cover the western half of the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The competition was founded in 1935, then called the '' Tschammer-Pokal''. The first titleholders were 1. FC Nürnberg. In 1937, Schalke 04 were the first team to win the double.
