Simon Orchard
Simon Orchard (born July 1986) is an Australian field hockey player. He plays for New South Wales in the Australian Hockey League. He is a member of the Australia men's national field hockey team and has won several medals with them including gold at the 2009 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy, gold at the 2010 Men's Hockey World Cup and gold at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. Personal Orchard was born in July 1986 in Muswellbrook, New South Wales. His hobbies include playing golf and playing his guitar. He took up hockey at the age of 11. He is married to Airlie Ogilvie, formerly of the Hockeyroos. Field hockey Orchard plays for New South Wales in the Australian Hockey League. David John Condon (born 6 July 1991) is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Wimbledon and the England and Great Britain national teams. Club career He plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Wimbledon. International career Condon competed for England in the men's hockey tournament at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a bronze medal. Hockey At The 2014 Commonwealth Games
Field hockey is one of ten core sports at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. It was the fifth appearance of hockey at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1998. The competition took place between Thursday 24 July and Sunday 3 August at the purpose built National Hockey Centre on the city's famous Glasgow Green. Preparation The purpose built National Hockey Centre hosted the 2014 Women's Hockey Champions Challenge I and a men's four nations tournament (involving Argentina, Belgium, England and Scotland) in April 2014 as test events in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games. Edward "Eddie" Clyve Ockenden (born 3 April 1987) is an Australian field hockey player. He plays in the midfielder and striker positions. He turned professional in 2008 and has played for teams in the Netherlands. He plays club hockey, having competed for a New Zealand team and Hobart, Tasmania side, North West Hobart Graduates (NWG). He also plays for the Tassie Tigers in the Australian Hockey League. He has represented Australia on the junior and senior level, earning a silver medal with the 2005 U21 team at the Junior World Cup. Ric Charlesworth
Richard Ian Charlesworth AO (born 6 February 1952) is an Australian sports coach and former politician. He played first-class cricket for Western Australia and international field hockey for the Kookaburras (the Australian national team), winning a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Charlesworth served as a federal member of parliament from 1983 to 1993, representing the Labor Party. After leaving politics, he was appointed coach of the Hockeyroos (the national women's field hockey team), leading them to Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2000. Charlesworth later coached the Kookaburras from 2009 to 2014, and has also worked in consulting roles with the New Zealand national cricket team, the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Fremantle Football Club (an Australian football team).
