Simon Kjær
Simon Thorup Kjær (born 26 March 1989) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club AC Milan and captains the Denmark national team. He was named 2007 Danish under-19 talent of the year and 2009 Danish Talent of the Year. Kjær has played over 120 matches for Denmark, including participation at the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and 2018, and the UEFA European Championship in 2012 and 2020. Middlesbrough ( ) is a town on the southern bank of the River Tees in North Yorkshire, England. It is near the North York Moors national park. The Viasat Cup was a 2006 Danish football tournament, starting at the end of the Danish Superliga 2005–06. The tournament was held due to Denmark's failure to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, a tournament which had caused FIFA to demand that the Superliga ended on 14 May. Viasat, holding the broadcast rights to the Superliga, and "Divisionsforeningen" contrived the tournament, and the most matches were broadcast on Danish TV3+. Jesper Lindorff Juelsgård (born 26 January 1989) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Danish 1st Division side FC Fredericia. Club career Juelsgård is a product of Midtjylland's football academy, which he joined from the childhood club Spjald IF. He was sent on a six-month loan to Skive IK in 2008 alongside fellow talent Christian Sivebæk. Upon his return to Midtjylland, he made his debut against AGF on 2 November 2008 as a starter, before being substituted in the 77th minute for Kim Christensen as his club lost 2–1. Winston Wiremu Reid (born 3 July 1988) is a New Zealand professional footballer who last played as a defender for club West Ham United. He captained the New Zealand national team. He has also played for Midtjylland with loan periods at Sporting Kansas City and Brentford. Early life Both Reid's parents have Māori ancestry. Christian Sivebæk (born 19 February 1988) is a retired Danish professional footballer. He is son of the former Denmark international, John Sivebæk. Career Club Sivebæk began his youth career with Vejle Boldklub . In 2005, he signed his first professional contract with FC Midtjylland and made his first team debut with the club in 2006. He made his Danish Superliga debut on 6 August 2006, replacing Claus Madsen in a 2-5 victory at the grounds of his former club Vejle. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated.
