Simon Henderson
Simon Henderson (born 1976) is a British teacher. He has been Head Master of Eton College since 2015, having previously served as headmaster of Bradfield College. Education Henderson studied at Winchester College, and later received a bachelor degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in history from the University of Oxford where he was a student of Brasenose College, Oxford. Career Henderson first worked as a history and politics teacher at The Windsor Boys' School, before joining Eton College in 2001; he soon became head of history at the school. From 2009, he served as Deputy Head of Sherborne School. He left Sherborne in 2011 when he was appointed Headmaster of Bradfield College. Eton College () is a public school in Eton, Berkshire, England. It was founded in 1440 by Henry VI under the name ''Kynge's College of Our Ladye of Eton besyde Windesore'',Nevill, p. 3 ff. intended as a sister institution to King's College, Cambridge, making it the 18th-oldest Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC) school. Eton is particularly well-known for its history, wealth, and notable alumni, called Old Etonians. Eton is one of only three public schools, along with Harrow (1572) and Radley (1847), to have retained the boys-only, boarding-only tradition, which means that its boys live at the school seven days a week.
