Simon Fox
Simon Andrew David Fox (born 12 July 1949) is an English rock drummer, who played in different rock bands during the 1970s and the 1980s, most notably the progressive rock group Be-Bop Deluxe. His earliest band was Hackensack, during the 1970s. He was a session player before joining Be-Bop Deluxe, in 1974, with whom he played on four studio albums, ''Futurama'' (1975), ''Sunburst Finish'' (1976), ''Modern Music'' (1976) and ''Drastic Plastic'' (1978), and one live album, ''Live in the Air Age'' (1977). The band split up in 1978, shortly after the release of ''Drastic Plastic''. After Be-Bop Deluxe, he played in Trevor Rabin's band, touring with them in Britain. Later, he joined Blazer Blazer, along with bassist Steve Barnacle (later in Visage), with whom he toured extensively in 1979 and 1980. They released just one single, "Cecil B. Devine", in 1979. Glam Rock
Glam rock is a style of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s and was performed by musicians who wore outrageous costumes, makeup, and hairstyles, particularly platform shoes and glitter. Glam artists drew on diverse sources across music and throwaway pop culture, ranging from bubblegum pop and 1950s rock and roll to cabaret, science fiction, and complex art rock.P. Jack Green (musician)
Jack Green (born 12 March 1951 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish musician and songwriter. Green played with T. Rex between 1973 and 1974, then with Pretty Things between 1974 and 1976, recording ''Silk Torpedo'' and '' Savage Eye''. After Phil May walked out on the Pretty Things he carried on with Peter Tolson, Gordon Edwards and Skip Alan in Metropolis. He also was a member of Rainbow for three weeks in late 1978. He launched a solo career with the album '' Humanesque'' in 1980. This included the single "This is Japan" which peaked at number 35 in Australia. The album generated multiple hits, particularly "Babe", in the Canadian province of Alberta, but not the rest of the country: "You couldn’t find his record with a search warrant outside of Alberta. Mik Kaminski
Michael Kaminski (born 2 September 1951) is an English musician. He is best known for playing violin in the rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) between 1973 and 1979 and touring from 1981 to 1986, as well as being a member of Electric Light Orchestra Part II from 1991 until its end 2000 and The Orchestra from 2000–present. Early life Kaminski was born in Harrogate, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. He made his first professional performance with the Leeds Orchestra, when he was 14. During his time at the Leeds School of Music, he founded the band Cow, together with his friends John Hodgson, who played drums, and John Marcangelo, who played keyboards and other percussion. Career In 1973, he joined Joe Soap and played violin on their ''Keep It Clean'' album. Their producer Sandy Roberton suggested Kaminski to Andy Roberts, who needed a violinist for his album. Kelly Groucutt
Kelly Groucutt (born Michael William Groucutt; 8 September 1945 – 19 February 2009) was an English musician, best known as the bassist and occasional vocalist for the rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) between 1974 and 1982. Early career Groucutt was born in Coseley, West Midlands. He began his musical career at 15 as Rikki Storm of Rikki Storm and the Falcons. He sang with multiple outfits during the 1960s, picking up the guitar as he went along. Groucutt was also a member of a band called "Sight and Sound", and later with a band called "Barefoot". Electric Light Orchestra
The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood with drummer Bev Bevan. Their music is characterised by a fusion of pop, classical arrangements and futuristic iconography. After Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne became the band's sole leader, arranging and producing every album while writing nearly all of their original material. For their initial tenure, Lynne, Bevan and keyboardist Richard Tandy were the group's only consistent members. Visage (band)
Visage were a British synthpop band, formed in London in 1978. The band became closely linked to the burgeoning New Romantic fashion movement of the early 1980s, and are best known for their hit " Fade to Grey" which was released in late 1980. In the UK, the band achieved two Top 20 albums ('' Visage'' and '' The Anvil'') and five Top 30 singles before the commercial failure of their third album (''Beat Boy'') led to their break-up in 1985. The band has seen various line-up changes over the years, all fronted by vocalist Steve Strange, who resurrected the band name in the 2000s.
