Simon Faber
Simon Faber (born September 11, 1968 in Flensburg) is a Bundesrepublik Deutschland, German politician (Südschleswigscher Wählerverband) and was Lord Mayor of Flensburg between January 15, 2011 and January 15, 2017. Early life Faber graduated 1987 from the Duborg-Skolen, Danish highschool in Flensburg, having achieved his Abitur. After military service, he studied at the University of Aarhus and at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, The Royal Academy of Music in the Denmark, Danish town Aarhus. Having worked for a Danish publisher for some time, he became the director's intendant of Danmarks Radio radio orchestra from 2002 to 2004. Since 2004 he has been living in Flensburg again. In 2010 he was cultural policy consultant for the Danish minority in Germany at the Folketing, Danish Parliament. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Duchy Of Schleswig
The Duchy of Schleswig ( da, Hertugdømmet Slesvig; german: Herzogtum Schleswig; nds, Hartogdom Sleswig; frr, Härtochduum Slaswik) was a duchy in Southern Jutland () covering the area between about 60 km (35 miles) north and 70 km (45 mi) south of the current border between Germany and Denmark. The territory has been divided between the two countries since 1920, with Northern Schleswig in Denmark and Southern Schleswig in Germany. The region is also called Sleswick in English. Unlike Holstein and Lauenburg, Schleswig was never a part of the German Confederation. Schleswig was instead a fief of Denmark, and its inhabitants spoke Danish, German, and North Frisian. Southern Jutland ( da, Sønderjylland; German: Südjütland) is the name for the region south of the Kongeå in Jutland, Denmark and north of the Eider (river) in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The region north of the Kongeå is called da, Nørrejylland, lit=Northern Jutland, label=none. Both territories had their own ting assemblies in the Middle Ages (in Viborg and Urnehoved). Klaus Tscheuschner (born October 22, 1956, in Bielefeld, West Germany) was Lord Mayor of Flensburg, Germany, from January 2005 until January 2011.
