Carmelo Simeone
Carmelo "Cholo" Simeone, (22 September 1934 – 11 October 2014) was an Argentine football defender who won three league championships with Boca Juniors and played for the Argentina national team. Nicknamed "Cholo", he was known for his energetic playing style. Club career Simeone started his playing career in 1955 with Vélez Sársfield. In 1961 he joined Boca Juniors where he was an important defensive player in the teams that won the Argentine Primera in 1962, 1964 and 1965. Simeone left Boca In 1967 and spent some time playing for Sportivo Belgrano in the lower leagues of Argentine football. Diego Pablo Simeone González (; ; born 28 April 1970, nicknamed El Cholo (), is an Argentine professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder; he has been the manager of Atlético Madrid since December 2011. In his club career that started in 1987, Simeone played in Argentina, Italy, and Spain for Vélez Sarsfield, Pisa, Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan, Lazio, and Racing Club. Lee Jason Simeone (born 20 March 1980 in Rochford, Essex, England) is an English musician, who joined the independent record label Le Coq Musique in 2008. Other artists of the label include Kevin Mooney of Adam and the Ants, Gary Asquith of Renegade Soundwave. Simeone left the label in 2012 to set up his own Vernal Equinox Records in London. Solo career Simeone released his debut album ''The Dream Weaver'' on the Le Coq Musique label in 2010. The album won rave reviews from Rough Trade Records and Future Music. The album also featured Kevin Mooney of Adam and The Ants on bass for one track titled "Epica". Giovanni Pablo Simeone Baldini (; born 5 July 1995) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Napoli, on loan from Hellas Verona, and the Argentina national team. Early life The son of former Argentine international footballer Diego Simeone and Carolina Baldini, Giovanni Simeone was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, while his father was playing for Atlético Madrid. His family moved to Italy in 1997, but later returned to Spain in 2003 following his father's career club changes. Osvaldo Simeone is a Professor of Information Engineering with the Centre for Telecommunications Research at the Department of Informatics at King's College, London. He received an M.Sc. degree (with honors) and a Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He was previously a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark. Simeone's research interests include wireless communications, information theory, optimization, and machine learning. Dr. Simeone is a co-recipient of the 2017 JCN Best Paper Award, the 2015 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award, and of the Best Paper Awards of IEEE SPAWC 2007 and IEEE WRECOM 2007.
