Silvia Gemignani (born September 2, 1972 in Pietrasanta) is an athlete from Italy, who competes in triathlon. Gemignani competed at the first Olympic triathlon at the 2000 Summer Olympics. She took twentieth place with a total time of 2:05:21.26. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Gemignani competed again. Her time of 2:08:56.94 earned her a twenty-first-place finish. Pietrasanta is a town and ''comune'' on the coast of northern Tuscany in Italy, in the province of Lucca. Pietrasanta is part of Versilia, on the last foothills of the Apuan Alps, about north of Pisa. The town is located off the coast, where the ''frazione'' of Marina di Pietrasanta is located. It lies on the main road and rail link from Pisa to Genova, just north of Viareggio. History The town has Roman origins and part of the Roman wall still exists.
