Silverstein (band)
Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup had remained unchanged for eleven years since December 2001, consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. Burlington is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the northwestern end of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada. Along with Milton to the north, it forms the western end of the Greater Toronto Area and is also part of the Hamilton metropolitan census area. Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo. Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). On November 24, 2007, rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert died, leaving the band as a four-piece. In June 2014 it was announced the departure of original drummer Eron Bucciarelli. Aiden was an American horror punk band from Seattle, Washington that formed in the spring of 2003. International Music Feed
The International Music Feed was a music channel launched in 2005 broadcasting in the United States. IMF had a broad music policy focusing on music from around the world. The channel ceased operating in March 2008. It was the only channel in the US that focused on combining music from American artists with music from other countries across the globe. IMF maintained the increasingly rare format based very largely on playing music videos rather than other programming. The channel was wholly owned by Universal Music Group, but played artists from all labels. Closure It was announced January 7, 2008, that the station would be going off the air. ''A Shipwreck in the Sand'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band, Silverstein, released March 31, 2009 through Victory. Although not as an official member, this marks the first album to feature future guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau (who would later go on to replace guitarist Neil Boshart), providing group vocals, among others. It was their final studio album and second to last release on the label after completing their four-album contract, with their 10-year anniversary live album, Decade (Live at the El Mocambo) being their last release on the label a year later. ''Decade (Live at the El Mocambo)'' is the first live album by Canadian rock band Silverstein, released on June 8, 2010 on Victory. Background and release On April 23, 2010, the band announced through their official Facebook page that ''Decade (Live at the El Mocambo)'' was to be released on June 8, 2010. It was filmed and recorded during March 18–21, 2010 during the band's 10th anniversary shows. The show was filmed by Robby Starbuck, who had previously directed the music videos of "Vices" and "American Dream" for the band. Four cameras were used, presumably limited by the size of the venue.
