Silverpram
Robert Grayson is New York-born comedian based in Australia. Robert, aka Hanuman Dass (his spiritual name) died in February 2022. His passing was mourned by the Northern Rivers community and comedy lovers. Under the name Silverpram, in October 1995 he released a parody EP titled ''Frogstamp'', a parody of Silverchair's 1995 debut album '' Frogstomp'', which included a song based on Silverchair's "Tomorrow" titled "(I Turn Four) Tomorrow". The song was nominated for the 1996 ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release and reached No. 72 on the ARIA singles chart. The song was called "a heap of crap" by '' The Sydney Morning Herald''s Emma Tom. Tomorrow (Silverchair Song)
"Tomorrow" is a song by Australian rock band Silverchair, which was released on 16 September 1994 on their debut extended play album, also titled ''Tomorrow''. The song was later released on ''Frogstomp'', the band's debut studio album, in 1995. Written by lead singer and guitarist Daniel Johns and drummer Ben Gillies, it was produced and engineered by Phil McKellar at the national radio station Triple J's studios for SBS-TV's show, ''Nomad'', which aired on 16 June 1994. After the broadcast the band were signed to the Murmur label – a Sony Music subsidiary – which subsequently issued the ''Tomorrow'' EP. "Tomorrow" became a breakthrough hit for Silverchair when it reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart in October and remained there for six weeks. ARIA Music Awards Of 1996
The 10th Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as the ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAS) was held on 30 September 1996 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Silverchair were an Australian Rock music, rock band, which formed in 1992 as Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, with Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass guitar. The group got their big break in mid-1994 when they won a national demo competition conducted by SBS (Australian TV channel), SBS TV show ''Nomad'' and ABC radio station Triple J. The band was signed by Murmur (record label), Murmur and were successful in Australia and internationally. Silverchair have sold over 10 million albums worldwide. ''Frogstomp'' is the debut studio album by Australian alternative rock band Silverchair. It was released on 27 March 1995, when the band members were only 15 years of age, by record label Murmur. The album features the band's commercially most successful single, " Tomorrow". Recording ''Frogstomp'' was recorded in nine days. When asked if the record was made live in the studio, singer and guitarist Daniel Johns said: Yeah, that's the thing that I do really like about that album – it sounds exactly like we sounded. There was no big American producer calling the shots behind the desk and telling us to do this, this and this.
