Silhouette (Silhouette Chord) is a fictional character, a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in ''New Warriors'' #2 (August 1990), and was created by Fabian Nicieza and Mark Bagley. Silhouette and her brother Aaron Chord (Midnight's Fire) are mutants with Magic (supernatural), magical powers gained from the bloodline of their mother, a member of a temple cult in Southeast Asia who married an African-American soldier from the Vietnam War. She manipulates the Darkforce, having the power to Teleportation, teleport, hide in shadows, and more. She is also a paraplegic, having been paralyzed from the waist down by a bullet injury sustained tracking drug gangs early in her career. Mark Bagley
Mark Bagley (; born August 7, 1957) is an American comics artist. He has worked for Marvel Comics on such titles as ''The Amazing Spider-Man'', '' Thunderbolts'', ''New Warriors'', ''Venom'' and ''Ultimate Spider-Man'' and for DC Comics on ''Justice League of America'', ''Batman'' and ''Trinity''. Early life Mark Bagley was born to a military family in Frankfurt, West Germany. Career After his work in the military and at Ringling College of Art and Design, Bagley continued trying to break into the comic industry. While working a construction job, he suffered a severe injury to his leg while using a handsaw that required 132 stitches. He eventually ended up working for Lockheed Martin making technical drawings. Psionex are a team of comic book supervillains and occasional anti-heroes in the Marvel Comics universe. Publication history Created by Fabian Nicieza and Mark Bagley, Psionex first appeared in ''The New Warriors'' #4. Fictional character biography Psionex are a group of artificially created superhumans who appeared as enemies of the New Warriors. The members are young people (assumed late teens to early twenties) altered by genetic, chemical, or biosurgical means by Harmon Furmintz of the Genetech Corporation to gain superpowers. Hellions (Marvel Comics)
Several fictional groups of mutants have used the name Hellions in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Hellions have always been portrayed as rivals of various teams of younger mutant heroes in the X-Men franchise, initially as actual villains and later on a team that was more of a school rival than actual enemies of the X-Men. The first and most notable incarnation of the Hellions were students of Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club's Massachusetts Academy, and were rivals of the New Mutants. Bengal (Duc No Tranh) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The character first appeared in '' Daredevil'' #258 and was created by Fabian Nicieza and artist Ron Lim. Fictional character biography Duc No Tranh was a boy growing up in a Vietnamese village during the Vietnam War. During the war, American soldiers, including William Talltrees, Willie Lincoln, and the future Reverend Michael Janes, massacre his village and parents. The boy tries to climb aboard the Americans' helicopter, but is kicked off by Private Janes, despite the pleas of the other soldiers on board. Tai is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A Cambodian, Tai was something of a mentor for the New Warriors in the first 25 issues of their first series. Fictional character biography Tai is an elderly Cambodian mystic who was indirectly responsible for the formation of the New Warriors. Tai was born into a cult called the Dragon's Breadth. Her people derive mystical energy from a well inside their temple that was a nexus into various alternate dimensions. The temple is constructed around the nexus point where vast amounts of mystic energy are constantly released. Throughout the centuries Tai's people absorb the energy from the well.
