Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket
Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL) is a coeducational independent school for boarding and day pupils between the seventh and twelfth grades. It is located in Sigtuna, Sweden. The school is attended by Swedish boarders, local children and foreigners. As a non-profit private boarding school, management of the SSHL's financial and physical resources is jointly overseen by the Sigtuna Skolstiftelse (Sigtuna School Foundation), the Sigtunastiftelsen (National Sigtuna Foundation) and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation; all the trustees are drawn from Sigtuna citizens and school alumni. Day-to-day operations are headed by a school director and a principal, who is appointed by the trustees. SSHL alumni include the current King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf, and Olof Palme, the former Prime Minister of Sweden. SSHL is a member of the global G20 Schools group. Sigtuna
Sigtuna () is a locality situated in Sigtuna Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 8,444 inhabitants in 2010. It is the namesake of the municipality even though the seat is in Märsta. Sigtuna is for historical reasons often still referred to as a ''stad''. Modern-day Sigtuna, a harbor town that was established around 980, developed approximately 4 kilometres east of Old Sigtuna (which, according to Norse mythology, was previously the home of Odin). Sigtuna has a medieval-style town centre with restaurants, cafes and small shops. The old church ruins, runic stones and the old main street (''Stora gatan'') are popular attractions for tourists, especially in the summertime. The small streets with low-built wooden houses lead up to several handicrafts shops and the old tiny town hall (''Sigtuna Rådhus''). Curt Nicolin
Curt René Nicolin (10 March 1921 – 8 September 2006) was a Swedish businessman. He served as the chairman of ASEA and the Swedish Employers Association. Early life Nicolin was born on 10 March 1921 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Felix Nicolin and his wife Anna Lisa (née Rehné). He passed ''studentexamen'' at Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket in 1941 and graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in 1945. Career Nicolin was recruited by the Wallenberg family as an engineer at Svenska Turbinfabriks AB Ljungström (STAL) in Finspång the same year, to lead the development of a Swedish jet engine. He got acquainted with Fredrik Ljungström, thanks to whom he debuted at the Nobel Banquet, and for whom he later authored an obituary. Nicolin became vice CEO and technical manager there in 1953. Ella Maria Eia Rappich (born 23 May 2000, in South Africa), is a Swedish actress. Rappich grew up in Sigtuna, a suburb to Stockholm in Sweden, and got her first role by chance when the production company FLX visited her school. Carl Adam Göstasson "Noppe" Lewenhaupt (1 August 1947 – 28 February 2017) was a Swedish count, businessman and restaurateur. He was the son of Count Gösta Lewenhaupt and his wife Christina Lewenhaupt. After studies at Sigtunaskolan he worked at a bank and warehouse in London and New York City, in the mid 1990s he created and started Geddesholm Callcenter, one of Sweden's largest call centers, these days better known as Avesta teletjänst, which he sold to a buyer in 2002. The same year he along with Erik Lallerstedt started the members only club ''Noppe'' at Östermalm in Stockholm. Carl Adam Lewenhaupt was at the time of his death married to Lee Haeng-Wha whom he married in 2004.
