Signe Ramberg
Signe Ramberg (November 4, 1900 – January 15, 1987) was a Norwegian actress. Life Signe Ramberg was born in Eidanger, Norway. She performed as a stage actress at the New Theater from 1929 to 1944, and she also appeared in five film roles between 1930 and 1944. Ramberg died in 1987 and is buried in the Old Eidanger Cemetery in Eidanger. Eidanger
Eidanger is a rural parish and former municipality of Porsgrunn, in Telemark County, Norway. History Eidanger was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was merged with Porsgrunn on 1 January 1964. The main part of Eidanger is a peninsula between the Eidangerfjord and the Frierfjord. Situated between the urban communities of Brevik and Porsgrunn, and with excellent natural conditions for building harbours, it became the site of Norsk Hydro's plant at Herøya and the Dalen Portland (now part of the Norcem corporation) concrete factory just outside Brevik. Another major industry is Heistad Fabrikker, which makes products for diabetics. Isola maintains its head office and administration office in Eidanger. Det Nye Teater
Det Nye Teater was a theatre that opened in Oslo in 1929, and ended as an independent theatre in 1959, when it merged with Folketeatret to form Oslo Nye Teater. The theatre's original purpose was to support contemporary Norwegian drama. History The company A/S Det Nye Teater was founded in 1918, by Johan Bojer and Peter Egge. Among the largest financial supporters were ship owner Ivar An Christensen, and also the Norwegian State bought a significant number of shares. The theatre building was designed by the architects Blakstad and Dunker. The theatre's first artistic director was Ingolf Schanche, from 1928 to 1931. The theatre opened on 26 to 28 February 1929, with Knut Hamsun's trilogy, ''Ved rigets port'', ''Livets spil'' and ''Aftenrøde'', followed by Peter Egge's play ''Kjærlighet og venskap''. ''Kristine Valdresdatter'' is a Norwegian silent film from 1930. This was the last silent film produced in NorwayIversen, Gunnar. 2005. Norway. In: Tytti Soila, Gunnar Iverson, & Astrid Söderbergh Widding (eds.). ''Nordic National Cinemas'', pp. 97–134. London: Routledge, p. 103. and it was directed by Rasmus Breistein. ''Den store barnedåpen'' (The Great Christening) is a 1931 Norway, Norwegian comedy film. It was directed by Tancred Ibsen and featured Einar Sissener, Aase Bye and Unni Torkildsen. It was the first feature-length Norwegian sound film. It was based on the 1925 play of the same name written by Oskar Braaten (1881–1939). The lacklustre Harald (Sissener) is taken in by Alvilde (Bye), and charged with looking after her bastard child. It soon dawns on both of them that Harald has more potential than previously assumed.
