Sigil (comics)
''Sigil'' is an American comic book series published by Cross Gen Entertainment from July 2000 to December 2003, ending at issue forty-two. ''Sigil'' was one of the publisher's first four titles (the others are '' Mystic'', ''Scion'', and ''Meridian''), originally created by Mark Alessi and Gina M. Villa. The book is one of many from the publisher that took place in the Sigilverse, or the Cross Generation universe. In 2011, ''Sigil'' was part of Marvel Comics' relaunch of the Cross Generation Universe. Setting The bulk of ''Sigil'' takes place on and around the worlds of the ''Planetary Union'', a group of five human-inhabited planets: ''Gaia'' (believed to be humanity's home world), ''Brejhur'', ''Delassia'', ''Kayseecay'', and ''Victor''. Leonard Kirk is an American-born comic book artist living in Canada. Ongoing Series
In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback. However, a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Characteristics An ongoing series is traditionally published on a fixed schedule, typically monthly or bimonthly but many factors can cause an issue to be published late. In the past, the schedule was often maintained with the use of fill-in issues (usually by a different creative team, sometimes hurting quality), but increasingly the practice has been to simply delay publication. Negation War (comics)
''Negation War'' was a comic book series published by CrossGen Comics, and serving as a culmination of the metaplots of nearly all of CrossGen's other titles. It was cancelled after only two issues, in spring 2004, before the company declared bankruptcy and ended production on all their titles. It was intended to answer many, if not all, of the questions surrounding CrossGen's metaplot, allowing the company to move on to new titles and perhaps a new company-wide metaplot. In comics in the United States, a trade paperback (shortened: TPB or trade) is a collection of stories originally published in comic books, reprinted in book format, usually presenting either a complete miniseries, a story arc from a single title, or a series of stories with an arc or common theme. A trade paperback may reproduce the stories either at the same size in which they were originally presented (in comic book format), in a smaller "digest-sized" format, or a larger-than-original hardcover. Dale Eaglesham (born 1962) is a Canadian comic book illustrator who has been working in the American industry since 1986. He is best known for his work on titles like '' Conan'', ''Punisher'', ''Green Lantern'', ''Villains United'', ''Justice Society of America'' and ''Fantastic Four''. In 2008, the ''Shuster Awards'' selected him as Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Artist of the year. Steven McNiven is a Canadian comic book artist. He first gained prominence on CrossGen's '' Meridian'', before moving onto books such as ''Ultimate Secret'', ''Marvel Knights 4'', '' New Avengers'' and ''Civil War''. Mike Carey (born 1959), also known by his pen name M. R. A seal is a device for making an impression in Sealing wax, wax, clay, paper, or some other medium, including an embossment on paper, and is also the impression thus made.
