Siggno (also known as Grupo Siggno) is an American Tejano band formed in Santa Rosa in 2000. The group released their debut album ''Al Principio'' in 2001 under Crown Records. The album's release followed Tejano music's post-golden age era, where artists music were indistinguishable from their counterparts, while album sales flattened. Music critics praised Siggno's progressive sounds and entertaining performances during their concerts. Their second album, ''Por Amor'' (2002) received a BMI Music Award and Latin Grammy Award nomination. The group's album ''Six Pack'' (2008) marked Siggno's first entry on a music chart. The Tejano Music Awards (TMA) is an accolade created by former arts teacher and musician Rudy Trevino in 1980. The accolade recognizes outstanding performers of Tejano music, a German polka-based Latin music genre recorded in Spanish or English-language. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by Tejano artists and bands and the presentation of all awards. The Tejano Music Awards are annually presented in San Antonio, Texas, although the ceremony has been presented in other cities such as Eagle Pass, Texas in the past. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, also called RodeoHouston or abbreviated HLSR, is the largest livestock exhibition and rodeo in the world. It includes one of the richest regular-season professional rodeo events. Calibre 50 () is a Regional Mexican band founded in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 2010. Their style is Norteño-Banda, a hybrid of Norteño, which uses an electric bass or tololoche for the low notes and replaces it with a sousaphone (tuba), which is typically used in Banda for the bass notes. History Before establishing Calibre 50, Edén Muñoz had been the accordionist and vocalist in the Norteño-banda group, Colmillo Norteño. With Muñoz, the group scored the hit songs "Sueño guajiro" and "Hotel El Cid" in 2009, among others.
