Siegfried Stark
Siegfried Stark (born 12 June 1955 in Rehna, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) is a retired East Germany, East German decathlon, decathlete. He won the bronze medals at the European Championships in 1978 European Championships in Athletics, 1978 and 1982 European Championships in Athletics, 1982. At the Olympic Games he finished sixth in 1976 Summer Olympics, 1976 and did not finish in 1980 Summer Olympics, 1980. His personal best was 8534 points, achieved in May 1980 in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle. Torsten Voss
Torsten Voss (sometimes listed as Thorsten Voss; ; born 24 March 1963 in Güstrow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) is an East German-German track and field athlete and bobsledder who competed from the late 1980s to the late 1990s. His biggest success was when he won the world title in the decathlon at the 1987 World Championships in Rome as a representative for East Germany. He achieved a personal best score of 8680 points and was chosen as the East German sportsman of the year. In 1988 in the Seoul Summer Olympic Games he won the silver medal behind fellow East German, Christian Schenk. His personal best of 8680 points ranks him fifth among German decathletes, behind Jürgen Hingsen, Uwe Freimuth, Siegfried Wentz and Frank Busemann. Paul Meier (born 27 July 1971 in Velbert) is former German decathlete who won a bronze medal at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics in Stuttgart where he set a personal best of 8548 points. A year earlier he had finished in sixth place at the 1992 Summer Olympics. At the 1996 European Cup for Decathlon in Lage, Meier injured himself in the long jump and was unable to participate in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Guido Kratschmer (; born 10 January 1953 in Klotzenhof, West Germany) is a retired West German decathlete. His sports club was the USC Mainz. Kratschmer competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he won the silver medal in the men's decathlon event. He could not participate at the 1980 Summer Olympics because of the boycott. In 1980, Kratschmer broke the world record held by Daley Thompson, but in 1982, Kratschmer's mark was in turn topped by Thompson. Kratschmer's personal best total in the decathlon was 8667 points, achieved in June 1980 in Bernhausen, West Germany.
