Lukanisman Awang Sauni
Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni (born 1 February 1982) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Health in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Zaliha Mustafa since December 2022, Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) since April 2020 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sibuti since May 2018. He is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions. Lukanisman was born in Miri and is of mixed ethnic Melanau and Chinese descent. He obtained a bachelor's degree from University of Malaya. Prior to joining politics, he worked at the Special Affairs Department (JASA). Miri District is an administrative district in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia covering a total area of 4707 km2. The Miri District can be divided into Miri City (997.43 km2), Sibuti sub-district (842.47 km2), and Niah sub-district (2887.21 km2). Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB; en, United Bumiputera Heritage Party) is a right-wing political party in Malaysia. It is currently the largest political party in Sarawak. Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu was formed from the combination of three parties in Sarawak; Parti Negara Sarawak, Barisan Rakyat Jati Sarawak and Parti Pesaka Anak Sarawak. The formation of the party was for the purpose of the improvement of the livelihood and protect the rights of the Bumiputera in many fields such as politics, economy and social. This is a list of the members of the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia. The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat that contested the general elections in 2013 was dissolved after series of disagreements between two main parties, Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). A new opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan was formed by the DAP, People's Justice Party (PKR) and newly formed party National Trust Party (AMANAH), consisting of ex-PAS members. Ahmad Lai Bujang
Datuk Haji Ahmad Lai bin Bujang (26 November 1949 – 9 August 2019) was a Malaysian politician. He was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Sibuti constituency in Sarawak, representing the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) in the governing Barisan Nasional coalition. Ahmad was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election, defeating Michael Teo Yu Keng of the People's Justice Party. Prior to being elected as a member of parliament, he was one of the political secretaries to the then-Chief Minister of Sarawak, Abdul Taib Mahmud. He was re-elected in 2013 and declined for health reasons to contest the 2018 election. He died on 9 August 2019, aged 69. Miri Division is one of the twelve administrative divisions of Sarawak, Malaysia. It has a total area of 26,777.1 square kilometres, and is the second largest division after Kapit Division. The seat of this division is the city of Miri. The population of Miri Division (year 2000 census) was 316,400. Ethnically, the population was Iban, Chinese, Malay (mostly Bruneian and Kedayan), Melanau, Kayan, Kenyah, Lun Bawang and Kelabit. Due to the petroleum industry, there is also a large foreign worker population. Miri Division consists of two districts: Miri and Marudi.
