Sibongile Sambo
Sibongile Sambo (born 1974 in Bushbuckridge) is a South African airline executive. She founded SRS Aviation. Sambo was named on the "20 Young Power Women in Africa 2013" list. Life She graduated from University of Zululand. Sambo was not able to become a flight attendant with South African Airways. In 2004, she won a South African government contract. She founded SRS Aviation, which offers jet and helicopter rental services, air cargo charter, tourist transfers, general air security, medical evacuation and other aero services. SRS Aviation is the first black female owned aviation company in South Africa. Bushbuckridge (also known as Mapulaneng) is the main town in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Ehlanzeni District, Mpumalanga, South Africa. It grew around a trading store that opened in 1884, and is named after the large herds of bushbuck found here in the 1880s, and the prominent ridge in the southeastern part of the municipality. The University of Zululand or UniZulu is the only comprehensive tertiary educational institution north of the Tugela River in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. South African Airways
South African Airways (SAA) is the flag carrier airline of South Africa. Founded in 1934, the airline is headquartered in Airways Park at O. R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and operated a hub-and-spoke network, serving ten destinations in Africa. The carrier joined Star Alliance in , making it the first African carrier to sign with one of the three major airline alliances. Zondo Commission Of Inquiry
The Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector including Organs of State, better known as the Zondo Commission or State Capture Commission, is a public inquiry established in January 2018 by former President Jacob Zuma to investigate allegations of state capture, corruption, and fraud in the public sector in South Africa. By December 2020, the commission had interviewed 278 witnesses and collected 159,109 pages and one exabyte of data as evidence. State Capture
State capture is a type of systemic political corruption in which private interests significantly influence a state's decision-making processes to their own advantage. The term was first used by the World Bank, around the year 2000, to describe the situation in certain Central Asian countries making the transition from Soviet communism.
