Siavash Ghomeyshi
Siavash Ghomayshi ( fa, سیاوش قمیشی; born 11 June 1945, Ahvaz) is an Iranian musician, singer and song writer. Siavash studied music in London where he got his master's degree. He left Iran in 1978 and now lives in Los Angeles. Over the past four decades, he composed songs for artists like Ebi, Moein, Googoosh, Aref, Mansour, Leila Forouhar, Shohreh Solati and others. Biography Siavash Ghomayshi was born in Ahvaz, Iran on 11 June 1945. He started his career as a composer when he was just 12. Siavash holds a master's degree in classical jazz from Royal Society of Arts in London, England, where he majored in pop music. He worked with some popular bands in England such as the Avengers and the Insects as lead guitarist and lead singer. When he returned to Iran at the age of 25, he started his career mainly as a composer. Ghomayshi has created numerous melodies and lyrics for famous Persian artists. Ahvaz
Ahvaz ( fa, اهواز, Ahvâz ) is a city in the southwest of Iran and the capital of Khuzestan province. Ahvaz's population is about 1,300,000 and its built-up area with the nearby town of Sheybani is home to 1,136,989 inhabitants. It is home to Persians, Arabs, Bakhtiaris, Dezfulis, Shushtaris, and others. Languages spoken in the area include Persian and Arabic, as well as dialects of Luri ( Bakhtiari), Dezfuli, Shushtari, and others. Shohreh Solati
Fatemeh Solati Nayebi ( fa, فاطمه صولتی نایبی), better known by her stage name Shohreh ( fa, شهره), is an Iranian singer. Since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, she has continued her music career in exile. Biography Shohreh Solati born on January 4, 1959, in Tehran to a well-to-do family of artists and entertainers, Shohreh developed an interest in music early on – singing at seven years of age. She later went on to study at the ''Tehran Conservatory of Music'', where she received training in singing and the clarinet. Her first album titled ''Dokhtar-e-Mashreghi'' (Persian for "Eastern Girl") was successful, garnering some notability. Magazines directed toward the youth of Iran in the 1970s also gave exposure to the singer. Shortly before the Revolution in 1979, Shohreh left Iran to perform in a series of concerts in the United States and, due to restrictions imposed on entertainers by the new leadership, she was not able to return. Nasrollah Moein ( fa, نصرالله معین), more commonly known as Moein ( fa, معین, ), is an Iranian singer. Moein was born in Najafabad, a city in Isfahan Province of Iran. He began his artistic caree as a radio singer and released several albums before ''Miparastam'' in 1983, which was his first album to be widely noticed in Iran. The name of this album was ''Ghazal''. In recent years, Moein has become widely acclaimed in Iran and he has played concerts all around the globe. He is referred to as "Javdan Sedaye Eshgh," which translates to "The Eternal Voice of Love". He has two daughters, Paricheh and Setareh.
