Shuvo Roy is an American scientist and engineer of South Asian descent. Early life and education Roy received most of his education in Uganda, where his father worked as a public health physician. Roy later completed his education and earned his BS degree from University of Mount Union, Ohio in 1992. He then earned his MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve University in 1995. He went on to earn his PhD degree from the same school in 2001. Career Roy has developed silicon nanopore membranes (SNM) to achieve high-efficiency blood ultrafiltration while selectively retaining specific solutes and serving as an immunoprotective barrier for encapsulated cells. The SNM are the fundamental underlying technology for the development of an implantable bioartificial kidney. Kazi Ashiqur Rahman Shuvo (December 10, 1983) is a Bangladeshi singer. Life and career Kazi Ashiqur Rahman, nicknamed Kazi Shuvo, was born on 10 December 1983 to Kazi Shah Alam and Fatema Khatun, in Bijoypur village, Gournadi thana in Barisal district. Shuvo is youngest among two brothers and a sister. He has been brought up in the midst of songs and music since childhood. His initiation in music was through his father's hands, in tabla. Institutionally he learnt playing tabla first from “Esho Gaan Shikhi” in Khulna and then from “Udichi”. Shuvo was in Khulna as his father was in service in Eastern Jute Mills Ltd. Khulna. Khan Ahmed Shuvo (born 15 July 1975) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Tangail-7 constituency. He has won the by-elections in Tangail (Mirzapur) constituency that held on 16 January 2022. Career Shuvo was elected to parliament from Tangail-7 as an Awami League candidate. Moidul Islam Khan Shuvo is a Bangladeshi singer/songwriter also known as dRockstar Shuvo. His popular songs include "NitolPaye" (featuring Fuad), "Amar Shona Bondhu", "DakeShopno (Shadhin)". Mohammad Sohrawordi Shuvo (born 21 November 1988) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler. He played for Rajshahi Division from 2004/05 through the 2006/07 season and also appeared for Bangladesh Under-19s in 2005/06 and the Bangladesh Cricket Board Academy in 2006/07.
