Matrikas (Sanskrit: मातृका (singular), IAST: mātṝkās, lit. "divine mothers") also called Matar or Matri, are a group of mother goddesses who are always depicted together in Hinduism. The Matrikas are often depicted in a group of seven, the Saptamatrika(s) (Seven Mothers). However, they are also depicted as a group of eight, the Ashtamatrika(s). The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body, and a national-level council for technical education, under the Department of Higher Education. Department of Architecture and Landscape Design (formerly School of Architecture and Landscape Design), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is located in Kakryal Village near Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, Katra town of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir. It is the only Architectural college in Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir, it is one of the most important institutions in the India ranked 26 by NIRF in India under Architecture Category.
