"Show Me the Wonder" is a song by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. It was released as the lead single from the band's eleventh studio album, ''Rewind the Film'', on 9 September 2013. Critical reception The song received positive reviews. Jamie Milton of This Is Fake DIY called the song "a triumphant, brass-led addition to the record." David Owens of '' Western Mail'' described the song as "a brass-infused soul pop standard recalling Dexys Midnight Runners and the heady days of Motown," while inferring that "the new album sees the band utilising a more reflective, stripped-back sound." ''Fact'' magazine wrote: "notably more buoyant than ‘Rewind The Film’, the song features some chirpy horn backing and a turn on the trumpet from Manics drummer Sean Moore." Manic Street Preachers
Manic Street Preachers, also known simply as the Manics, are a Welsh Rock music, rock band formed in Blackwood, Caerphilly, Blackwood in 1986. The band consists of cousins James Dean Bradfield (lead vocals, lead guitar) and Sean Moore (musician), Sean Moore (drums, percussion, soundscapes), plus Nicky Wire (bass guitar, lyrics). They form a key part of the 1990s Welsh Cool Cymru cultural movement. Following the release of their debut single "Suicide Alley", Manic Street Preachers were joined by Richey Edwards as co-lyricist and rhythm guitarist, the band became as a quartet. Adequate Seven were a Welsh band who blended music styles such as hip hop, hardcore, punk, and funk. They formed in 2000 and split in December 2006. History Adequate Seven formed in November 2000 and played their first gig only four weeks later. The band drew upon a diverse selection of influences in creating their sound. In February 2001 the band released the ''Adequate Seven EP'', a 5-track EP on their own label Breaking World Records. The band was brought to the attention of London-based label Household Name Records who featured one of the band's tracks on their 2002 label sampler, following this with the release of Adequate Seven's début full-length ''Songs of Innocence and of Experience'' in March 2003 to critical acclaim. The O2 is a large entertainment district on the Greenwich peninsula in South East London, England, including an indoor arena, a music club, a Cineworld cinema, an exhibition space, piazzas, bars, and restaurants. It was built largely within the former Millennium Dome, a large dome-shaped canopy built to house an exhibition celebrating the turn of the third millennium; consequently ''The Dome'' remains a name in common usage for the venue. It was the fourth and final single released from their fifth studio album, ''This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours'' (1998). All three members of the band—James Dean Bradfield, Sean Moore and Nicky Wire—share the writing credits. The single peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart. Background "Tsunami" is the Japanese word for "big wave". The song was inspired by The Silent Twins, June and Jennifer Gibbons, who gave up speaking when they were young, became involved in crime and ended up being sent to Broadmoor Hospital. Kieran John Evans (born 8 February 1969) is a Welsh film director and screenwriter whose work includes music videos, film and documentaries. His 2012 film '' Kelly + Victor'', produced by Janine Marmot, saw Evans awarded the BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer at the 2014 BAFTAs. Tori Lyons (Victoria Amy Lyons) is an actress from South Wales. Lyons is known for her roles in the Manic Street Preachers music videos. The first being "Show Me the Wonder", opposite Craig Roberts. It went on to win a Q Music Award for best music video. She also starred in the follow-up video "Anthem for a Lost Cause".
