Show (The Cure Album)
''Show'' is a live album released in 1993 by the British alternative rock band The Cure. It was recorded live over two nights at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit) in 1992, during the successful ''Wish'' tour. ''Show'' was also released as a concert video. This live album was released along with ''Paris'', which was recorded in Paris. ''Show'' leaned somewhat more towards the band's poppier and more recent material such as "Just Like Heaven", "Pictures of You" and "Friday I'm in Love" while ''Paris'' skewed towards their older cult-classics. Track listing ''Show'' is a double-CD release in most cases. There are various versions with differing track listings. The US version is the only one-disc edition. The Cure
The Cure are an English Rock music, rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, Crawley, West Sussex. Throughout numerous lineup changes since the band's formation, guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter Robert Smith (musician), Robert Smith has remained the only constant member. ''Faith'' is the third studio album by English rock music, rock band The Cure, released on 17 April 1981 by Fiction Records. Mixed Up (The Cure Album)
''Mixed Up'' is a remix album by English rock band the Cure, released on 20 November 1990 by Fiction Records. The songs are remixes of some of their hits, reflecting the popularity of remixing of existing songs and dance culture of the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 2018, a sequel was released titled ''Torn Down''. Most of the songs are extended mixes. Several had been previously released on 12" singles, but some are completely remade, with Smith recutting vocals due to the original tapes not being available. The record closes with the extended version of a new single, " Never Enough". The remix of "Pictures of You" was originally released under the title "(Strange Mix)". "Never Enough" is a song by English rock band the Cure, released as a single in September 1990 from their 1990 remix album, '' Mixed Up''. The song topped the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart, reached number three in Finland, and peaked within the top 20 in Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Content Unlike most other Cure songs of this era, the song was unexpectedly guitar-oriented, featuring no synthesizers. On the album, it is subtitled "Big Mix". "Let's Go to Bed" is a song by English rock band the Cure, released as a stand-alone single by Fiction Records in November 1982. In the aftermath of the dark ''Pornography'', Robert Smith returned from a month-long detox in the Lake District to write the song, the antithesis to what the Cure currently represented. It was later included on the album ''Japanese Whispers'', which compiles the band's three singles from 1982-83 and their five B-sides. ''Japanese Whispers'' is the second compilation album by British group The Cure. It was released in late 1983 by Fiction Records. It includes the singles "Let's Go to Bed", "The Walk" and "The Lovecats". The other tracks are the B-sides of these singles, although "Mr. Pink Eyes" (the second B-side for "The Lovecats") was not included. The songs were recorded when the band was in a transitional phase after bassist Simon Gallup left following a tour to promote the previous album, ''Pornography''. ''The Head on the Door'' is the sixth studio album by English rock band the Cure. It was released on 30 August 1985 by Fiction Records. Preceded by the single "In Between Days" which had reached No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart, ''The Head on the Door'' was described by ''Melody Maker'' as "a collection of pop songs". With its variety of styles, it allowed the group to reach a wider audience in both Europe and North America.
