''Shook'' is a 2021 American horror thriller film written and directed by Jennifer Harrington based on a story by Alesia Glidewell and Jennifer Harrington. It was produced by Tara L. Craig and Squid Farm Productions. ''Shook'' premiered on Shudder on February 18, 2021. Plot When Mia, a social media influencer, becomes the target of an online terror campaign, she has to solve a series of games to prevent people she cares about from getting murdered. But is it real? Shudder is an American over-the-top subscription video on demand service featuring horror, thriller and supernatural fiction titles, owned and operated by AMC Networks. The streaming service offers original films and TV series like ''Creepshow,'' inspired by the 1982 movie of the same name directed by George A. Romero. Shudder also has well-known movies like 1978's ''Halloween,'' documentary series, and an annual Halloween "Ghoul Log" reminiscent of the Yule Log that's on TV during the holiday season. Distribution Shudder began with an invite-only beta testing in the United States the summer of 2015. Grant Mandel Rosenmeyer (born July 3, 1991) is an American actor and screenwriter best known for his roles in ''The Royal Tenenbaums'' and on the FOX television sitcom ''Oliver Beene''. Early life and education Rosenmeyer was born in Manhasset, New York, the son of Jewish parents Debra and Colin Rosenmeyer. He grew up in Ridgefield, Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2012. Career Rosenmeyer first acted on Broadway as Macduff's son in ''Macbeth'' and as Gavroche in ''Les Misérables''. In 2001, he made his feature film debut as Ari Tenenbaum, Ben Stiller's son, in Wes Anderson's ''The Royal Tenenbaums'', for which he received a Young Artist Award nomination.
