Shona McCallin
Shona McCallin, (born 18 May 1992), is an English former international field hockey player who played as a midfielder for England and Great Britain. She is co-founder of thetenpercentclub, a wellness supplement company. She was an Olympic gold medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics. McCallin started her career at Newark Otters and Beavers club, aged 6, coached by Christine Fergusson MBE. She then progressed through Nottinghamshire county ranks, regional and England U16, U18 and U21 squad which she captained at the Junior World Cup. She ventured to Tilburg, Netherlands to pursue further hockey opportunities. She spent almost 4 years in the country, gaining a university degree in International Business and also becoming fluent in Dutch. Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. 2015 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2015 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 12th edition of the women's field hockey championship organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 22 to 30 August 2015 in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England. Bisham Abbey
Bisham Abbey is a Grade I listed manor house at Bisham in the English county of Berkshire. The name is taken from the now lost monastery which once stood alongside. This original Bisham Abbey was previously named Bisham Priory, and was the traditional resting place of many Earls of Salisbury. The complex surrounding the extant manorial buildings is now one of three National Sports Centres run on behalf of Sport England and is used as a residential training camp base for athletes and teams and community groups alike. It is a wedding venue with a licence for civil ceremony and is used for conferences, team building events, corporate parties and private functions.
