Shiyoon Kim
Shiyoon Kim (; born 1983) is a Korean American character designer and concept artist previously at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Sony Pictures Animation, where he designed the characters for Academy Award winning '' Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse''. He is most prominently known for his work on the major motion features: ''Tangled'' (2010), ''Wreck-It Ralph'' (2012), '' Big Hero 6'' (2014), and ''Zootopia'' (2016). Kim currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters. Early life Shiyoon Kim was born in South Korea in 1983 and moved to the United States at the age of two. Kim began to draw from the early age of three. Growing up, he consistently practiced drawing, bringing more and more life to each successive doodle that he created. As time progressed onwards, his artwork improved, and he showed a lot of innate talent for it. ''Adam and Dog'' is a 2011 American animated short film by Minkyu Lee. The film was nominated for Best Animated Short Film for the 85th Academy Awards and won Best Animated Short Subject at the 39th Annie Awards. After being nominated for an Academy Award, the film was released along with all the other 15 Oscar-nominated short films in theaters by ShortsHD. Jin Kim (, Korean name: Kim Sang-jin) is a South Korean animator and character designer best known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios from 1995 to 2016. He was the first Korean animator to work for Disney. Kim has red-green color blindness. Due to Korean college admissions policies at the time, he was unable to get into art school and ended up majoring in economics in college.
