Shivajinagar Assembly constituency is one of the twenty one constituencies of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly located in Pune district and one of eight in Pune City. It is a segment of the Pune (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other assembly constituencies, viz Kasba Peth, Parvati, Pune Cantonment (SC), Kothrud, Vadgaon Sheri from Pune. Siddharth Shirole
Siddharth Anil Shirole ( mr, सिद्धार्थ अनिल शिरोळे) (born 4 February 1979) is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and first time Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing the Shivajinagar Vidhansabha Constituency from Pune. Shirole is also the Councillor for Ward 14 (Deccan Gymkhana – Model Colony) of the Pune Municipal Corporation. Shirole is also the Director of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited and National Finance Head of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He is the son of Anil Shirole, the former Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha from Pune. He belongs to the very well-known Shiledar Shirole ( Patil) family of Shivajinagar, Pune. 2004 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election
Assembly elections was held in Maharashtra, India on October 13, 2004. The major alliances were the Democratic Front and the Bharatiya Janata Party - Shiv Sena alliance. Vinayak Nimhan
Vinayak Nimhan (died 26 October 2022) was Shiv Sena politician from Pune, Maharashtra. He was member of the 12th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing the Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency. He had been elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for three consecutive terms. For his first two terms, he was elected as a member of the Shivsena. For his third term, he was elected on the Indian National Congress ticket. In Nimhan was defeated in the 2014 assembly elections. He has since then returned to the Shivsena. Nimhan died from cardiac arrest on 26 October 2022, at the age of 59. Shiv Sena ( IAST: ''Śiva Sēnā'') () was a right-wing to far-right Marathi regionalist and Hindu ultranationalist political party in India founded in 1966 by cartoonist Bal Thackeray. Originally emerging from nativist movements in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), the party agitated for preferential treatment for the Marathi people over migrants from other parts of India. Laxman Sonopant Joshi (3 April 1935 – December 2014), popularly known as Anna Joshi, was a former member of the Lok Sabha. He was a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and later Nationalist Congress Party. Born in 1935, Anna Joshi studied MSc at Pune University. He was detained under MISA in the emergency for 18 months. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1991 from Pune. Earlier he was elected to the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha in 1980 and 1985 from Shivaji Nagar seat in Pune. BJP did not nominate him to contest 1996 Lok Sabha election from Pune. He quit BJP in 1998, and joined NCP later.
