Kitami
is a Cities of Japan, city in Okhotsk Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It is the most populous city and the commercial center in the subprefecture, although the subprefecture capital is Abashiri, Hokkaido, Abashiri. Kitami is physically in the middle of Okhotsk Subprefecture. The Kitami Mountains are nearby and are the main reason behind the city's name. The city is the result of the merger of Kitami, Tanno, Hokkaido, Tanno, Tokoro, Hokkaido, Tokoro and Rubeshibe, Hokkaido, Rubeshibe towns in 2006 administrative reform. Yusuke Morozumi
is a Japanese curler from Karuizawa. He skipped the Japanese men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He currently coaches the Chubu Electric Power Curling Team. Curling career Yusuke Morozumi was the skip of the Japanese team at the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships, placing 9th. In 2008, by finishing 2nd at the Pacific Curling Championships he and his team qualified for the 2009 World Men's Curling Championships, finishing 10th overall. Since then, he has skipped Japan at the 2013 (11th place), 2014 (5th), 2015 (6th), 2016 (4th) and 2017 (7th) World Championships. Yuta Matsumura (curler)
Yuta Matsumura is a Japanese curler from Kitami. He was the skip of the Consadole curling team until 2022 when he joined TM Karuizawa skipped by Yusuke Morozumi. Career Matsumura competed at the 2015 Ford World Men's Curling Championship in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, as alternate for the Japanese team, which placed sixth in the tournament. Matsumura won the 2018 Oakville Fall Classic, his first career World Curling Tour title. A month later he would also win the Driving Force Abbotsford Cashpiel. Matsumura represented Japan in the 2018 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in South Korea, which his team would end up winning, defeating China's Zou Qiang in the final.
