Shiny Joe Ryan
Joseph Michael "Shiny Joe" Ryan (born 23 August 1987) is an Australian psychedelic rock musician, singer and songwriter. He is the founding mainstay multi-instrumentalist and guitarist of Pond, which have released nine albums. Ryan has issued two solo albums, ''The Cosmic Microwave Background'' (30 May 2014) and ''Shiny's Democracy'' (23 July 2021). He also does the visuals for fellow Australian band Tame Impala. Biography Joseph Michael Ryan was born on 23 August 1987 in Nenagh, Ireland. At the age of six-and-a-half his family emigrated to Perth. Mink Mussel Creek In 2007, Shiny Joe Ryan joined the recently formed Mink Mussel Creek on guitar, with Nick Allbrook on vocals, Richard Ingham on synthesisers, Kevin Parker on drums and Steve Summerlin on bass guitar. Mink Mussel Creek recorded an unreleased album in 2008. Nenagh
Nenagh (, ; or simply ''An tAonach'') meaning “The Fair of Ormond” or simply "The Fair", is the county town and second largest town in County Tipperary in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Nenagh used to be a market town, and the site of the East Munster Ormond Fair. ''9'' is the ninth studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band Pond. It was released on 1 October 2021 by Spinning Top Records. The album was produced by the band themselves, the first since 2012's '' Beard, Wives, Denim'' to not be co-produced by former member Kevin Parker, with bandmates Jay Watson and James Ireland on mixing duties. ''9'' became the band's first ARIA top ten album, debuting at number 6 on the chart. A deluxe version of the album was released on 20 May 2022. Background The album was announced on 20 May 2021, alongside second single "America's Cup". Upon announcement, Nick Allbrook said "We'd settled into a pretty tight routine with the last few albums and wanted to shake a boat with this so we started off with filling a few tape reels with some absolutely heinous improvised sonic babble which, after much sifting, became the first few songs of the album. 4ZZZ (pronounced "Four Triple Zed" or simply "Triple Zed") is an independent community radio station operating in Brisbane, Australia at the frequency 102.1 FM. As a community radio station, 4ZZZ is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The station broadcasts to much of South East Queensland, parts of northern New South Wales and web streams from its website. History 4ZZZ was established to provide a radical alternative to mainstream news, to promote a sense of engagement and activism in community life and to promote Australian music. The station began transmission on 8 December 1975 as 4ZZ at 105.7 MHz, the first FM community broadcaster in Brisbane transmitting in stereo. Triple J (stylised in all lowercase) is a government-funded, national Australian radio station intended to appeal to listeners of alternative music, which began broadcasting in January 1975. The station also places a greater emphasis on broadcasting Australian content compared to commercial stations. Triple J is a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. History 1970s: Launch and early years 2JJ commenced broadcasting at 11:00 am, Sunday 19 January 1975, at 1540 kHz (which switched to 1539kHz in 1978) on the AM band. The new Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) station was given the official call-sign 2JJ, but soon became commonly known as Double J.
