Shinsengumi!
is a 2004 Taiga drama historical fiction television series produced by Japanese broadcaster NHK. It was a popular drama about the Shinsengumi, a Japanese special police force from the Bakumatsu period. Koji Yamamoto (actor)
is a Japanese actor and singer, who was born in Tokyo, Japan. Career He began his career as a baby model at under one year of age. He also played Gavroche in the original Japanese cast and later Marius in the Japanese TOHO production of ''Les Misérables'' and appears on the 2003 "green" cast recording. His first major role was in 2004 in ''Shinsengumi!'', as Hijikata Toshizō, a role he reprised for the 2006 sequel. This sequel portrays the last day of Hijikata Toshizō, Vice Commander of Shinsengumi and Asa ga Kita he reprised the role eleven years later. Kōki Mitani
is a Japanese playwright, screenwriter, actor and film director and was previously married to Japanese actress Satomi Kobayashi. He was named after ''Taihō Kōki'', the youngest sumo wrestler to become yokozuna. He studied dramatics at Nihon University. In an attempt to add his own character to his movies, as a director he takes most of his scenes with a one-scene=one-shot system, moving the camera around as opposed to cutting. He claims this comes from his experience in theatre, where there are no cuts. Tarō Yamamoto
is a Japanese politician and former actor, who is the founder and current leader of the anti-establishment political party Reiwa Shinsengumi. Yamamoto served as a member of the House of Councillors from 2013 to 2019 and was a candidate in the 2020 Tokyo gubernatorial election. Nakamura Kankurō VI
is a Japanese kabuki and film and television actor. Born , he is the eldest son of actor Nakamura Kanzaburō XVIII and the older brother of Nakamura Shichinosuke II. He is a well-known '' tachiyaku'' actor (kabuki actor who plays male roles) just like his father Kanzaburō XVIII and his younger brother Shichinosuke II (who is also known to be an renowned ''onnagata'' actor, i.e. he is a kabuki actor who plays female roles). Shingo Katori
is a Japanese actor, singer, television host, radio personality. He was the youngest member of SMAP, one of the best-selling boy band in Asia. After the group's disbandment on 31 December 2016, Katori has been pursuing his solo career. Yasuko Sawaguchi
is a Japanese actress. Biography She was born in Osaka. In early 1984, the Japanese movie studio Toho Company Ltd. held their first Toho Cinderella beauty contest, and Yasuko, almost 19 at the time, was chosen as the first Toho Cinderella, beating out the other 30,000 contestants. Yōko Nogiwa
was a Japanese actress. Nogiwa was born in Toyama, Toyama, and grew up in Suginami, Tokyo from the age of three. She graduated from Rikkyo University. In 1973, she married Sonny Chiba, with whom she co-starred in the TV series ''Key Hunter''. They had a daughter, Juri Manase, in 1975, who later became an actress. Nogiwa and Chiba divorced in 1994.
