Bj League
The was a professional basketball league in Japan that began in November 2005 as a six-team league. The league was operated as a competitor to the established Japan Super League which was run by the Japan Basketball Association, the official governing body of basketball in Japan. Over the next ten years the league saw continual expansion, with at least one new team joining every season, reaching 24 teams divided into two conferences in its final season in 2015–16. Turkish Airlines was the major sponsor of the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. The bj league operated on the American sports franchise system. This was in contrast to the Japan Super League and its successor, the National Basketball League, which was a corporate league composed primarily of company teams and other clubs affiliated with the JBA. Omar Samhan
Omar Hassan Samhan (born November 3, 1988) is an American-Egyptian professional basketball player for Plateros Fresnillo of the Mexican LNBP. He played college basketball for Saint Mary's College of California where he was an honorable mention All-American in 2010. In 2011, Samhan joined the Egypt national basketball team. Julian Tawanda Mavunga (born January 24, 1990) is a Zimbabwean-American professional basketball player. He is the older brother of WNBA player Stephanie Mavunga of the Indiana Fever. D'or Anthony Naheem Fischer (born October 12, 1981) is an American-Israeli professional basketball player for Elitzur Eito Ashkelon of the Israeli National League. He has also represented the senior Israeli national team. Standing at , he plays at the power forward and center positions. College career Fischer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and did not play basketball for the school when he attended Upper Darby High School. Marshall D. Brown (born March 11, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of Missouri before playing professionally in England, Brazil, Japan, Australia and Ukraine, as well as in the Premier Basketball League and the NBA Development League.
