Shieldhill Railway Station
Shieldhill railway station was a station which served Shieldhill, in the Scottish county of Dumfries and Galloway. It was served by trains on a local line which ran between the Caledonian Main Line (now known as the West Coast Main Line) at and the Castle Douglas and Dumfries Railway at . History Opened by the Dumfries, Lochmaben and Lockerbie Railway, then part of the Caledonian Railway it became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway during the Grouping of 1923, passing on to the Scottish Region of British Railways during the nationalisation of 1948. Shieldhill, Falkirk
Shieldhill is a village within the Falkirk council area in Central Scotland. The village is south-east of Falkirk, south-west of Polmont and north of the village of California. Shieldhill is divided into a few main parts: " The California end" and the old " scheme end " to the west, and the newer Bovis and the original old miners rows which have existed in some way for approximately 150 years. The main road through Shieldhill is the B8028 road between California and Glen Village and the B810 road from Reddingmuirhead.
