Shi Hanqing
Shi Hanqing (, born 19 August 1990) is a Chinese pool player and former professional snooker player. Snooker career Shi first appeared at a ranking event at age of 19, playing Matthew Selt in the wildcard round of the 2009 Shanghai Masters in which he was whitewashed 0–5. In the 2012–13 season he appeared in the three Asian events in that year's Players Tour Championship In APTC Event 1, he reached the last 64 where he was knocked out by Stephen Lee by a scoreline of 1–4, and reached the last 16 in events 2 and 3, being defeated by professionals Barry Hawkins and Ken Doherty to scorelines of 2-4 and 0-4 respectively. He turned professional in time for the 2013–14 season by virtue of finishing 3rd in the APTC Order of Merit from the previous season. World Open (snooker)
The World Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Throughout its history, the tournament has undergone numerous revamps and name changes. It started out in 1982 as the ''Professional Players Tournament'', but for most of the 1980s and 1990s it was known as the ''Grand Prix''. It was renamed the '' LG Cup'' from 2001 to 2003 before reverting to the ''Grand Prix'' until 2010. Since then it has been known as the ''World Open''. During 2006 and 2007, it was played in a unique round-robin format, more similar to association football and rugby tournaments than the knock-out systems usually played in snooker. The Players Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Neil Robertson is the reigning champion. History After the establishment of the Players Tour Championship, the Players Tour Championship Finals was first held in 2011 at The Helix in Dublin, between the top 24 players of the Order of Merit, who played at least 6 events; 3 in Sheffield and 3 in mainland Europe. Welsh Open (snooker)
The Welsh Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament that has been held annually since 1992. It replaced the Welsh Professional Championship, which ran annually from 1980 to 1991 and was open only to Welsh players. The Welsh Open is now the longest running ranking event after the World Championship and the UK Championship. Since the 2016–17 season, it has been one of four tournaments in the Home Nations Series, alongside the Northern Ireland Open, the Scottish Open, and the English Open. German Masters
The German Masters is a professional ranking snooker tournament held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany since 2011. The 2021 event was held at Milton Keynes in England because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Zhao Xintong is the reigning champion, having won the event in 2022. The UK Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. It is one of snooker's prestigious Triple Crown events, along with the World Championship and the Masters. The Australian Goldfields Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament. The final champion was John Higgins in 2015. History Australia had previously hosted the 1971 and 1975 World Snooker Championships, as well as several other high-profile snooker tournaments and in 1979 the ''Australian Masters'' was established.
