He presently serves as the defensive line coach for Morehouse. Coaching career Skanes served as the first head football coach for the Concordia Hornets located in Selma, Alabama (sometimes called "Concordia–Alabama") and held that position from when the program began in 2005 through the third game of their 2012 season. His coaching record at Concordia was 33 wins and 40 losses. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Formed in 1913, it consists mostly of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), with all but one member located in the Southern United States. The SIAC has led all NCAA Division II conferences in football attendance. The last commissioner of the SEAC was Henry Smith, Sports Information Director/Director of Football Operations at Edward Waters College. Edward Waters won the inaugural SEAC title in 2004, followed by Concordia College, Selma in 2005, and Webber International University in 2006. The 2007 SEAC Championship was shared between Edward Waters and Concordia. At the conclusion of the 2008 season, it was announced that the SEAC would be dissolved due to Concordia's inability to gain membership into the NAIA, also the conference's inability to gain other members. The final SEAC championship was shared between the three schools, all with identical 1–1 records against each other.
