Anita Sheoran (born 24 November 1984) is a female wrestler from India. She has won gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games along with winning multiple medals at the Asian Wrestling Championships and the Commonwealth Wrestling Championships. Personal life Anita Sheoran was born to Dilip Singh Sheoran and Santosh Devi in the Dhani Mahu village, which is situated in the Bhiwani district of Haryana. She is employed as an inspector in the Haryana Police. Career 2005-08 Participating at the 2005 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships in the 67 kg freestyle category, Sheoran won bronze medal. At the 2008 Asian Wrestling Championships, Sheoran won bronze medal in the 59 kg freestyle event. Nirmala Sheoran (born 15 July 1995) is an Indian sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres event. Early life and career Sheoran was born in Chehad Khurd village of Haryana state's Bhiwani district. She qualified for two events at the 2016 Summer Olympics: the women's 400 metres and the women's 4 × 400 metres relay. Sheoran qualified for the women's 400 metres event at the Olympics by clocking 51.48 seconds, her personal best time, at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics championships in Hyderabad in July 2016. She finished well below the Olympics qualification mark of 52.20 seconds and also surpassed the previous best time at the meet of 51.73 seconds set by M. R. Poovamma in 2014. Lakshay Sheoran is an Indian sport shooter. He won silver medal in trap shooting at the 2018 Asian Games. Early life Sheoran was born in Jind, Haryana, on 4 November 1998. He is the son of a former wrestling national champion, Somveer pehalwan. Career Sheoran started training for shooting in 2014. He initially started air pistol shooting but later switched to shotgun shooting after visiting Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. Representing Haryana state, he became national junior champion in the 2016 National Shooting Championships after defeating Manavaditya Singh Rathore of Rajasthan in the men's trap event. He won his second junior national title in 2017 after defeating Rajasthan's Vivaan Kapoor by 41-39. He missed the Olympic quota berth at the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament in Kuwait City on 15 January, despite winning a bronze as there were only two berths.
