Shelley Miranda Barrett
Shelley Miranda Barrett (born 1974), previously known as Shelley Norton, is a Welsh actress, best known for her role as Mandy in the BBC Wales television series '' Satellite City''. She is also the founder of Shelley Barrett Management and The Talent Shack. Barrett was born in Penarth and is the daughter of politician Lorraine Barrett and music industry agent Paul Barrett. Her brother, Lincoln, is High Contrast. She was educated at Stanwell Comprehensive School and Coleg Glan Hafren. She married the actor Richard Norton in 2002, at Albertson's Chapel on Sunset Boulevard; the couple met while appearing in a play entitled ''Killing Kangaroos'' at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff. They separated in 2015. Paul Franklyn "Legs" Barrett (14 December 1940 – 20 January 2019) was a UK agent and manager of 1950s style Rock and Roll artistes, an author and previously a singer, songwriter and film actor. Lincoln Barrett (born 18 September 1979), better known by the stage name High Contrast, is a Welsh electronic music producer, DJ and record producer. He produces drum and bass music, and his 2009 album ''Confidential'' reached BPI gold certification (100,000 units sold in the UK). Career Early work Barrett was born in Penarth, near Cardiff, and grew up more interested in films and film soundtracks than rock or pop music; he cites Wendy Carlos's ''A Clockwork Orange'' soundtrack album and the Vangelis soundtrack for ''Blade Runner'' as defining musical influences. Sherman Theatre
The Sherman Theatre ( cy, Theatr y Sherman) is a venue in the Cathays district of Cardiff. It was built as a twin-auditorium venue in 1973 with financial support from Cardiff University. Sherman Cymru was the name of the Sherman Theatre between 2007 and 2016 when the name changed back to Sherman Theatre. The theatre is named after Harry Sherman, the co-founder of Sherman's Football Pools, who financed its construction. Within the premises are two performance spaces: the main auditorium with 452 seats, and the studio / arena which seats 100.
