Shelley Community Football Club is a association football, football club based in Shelley, West Yorkshire, Shelley near Huddersfield, England but play in Kirkburton. Kirkburton
Kirkburton is a village, civil parishes in England, civil parish and ward in Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It is south-east of Huddersfield. North West Counties League
The North West Counties Football League is a football league in the North West of England. Since 2019–20, the league has covered the Isle of Man, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, northern Staffordshire, northern Shropshire, the far west of West Yorkshire, and the High Peak area of Derbyshire. In the past, the league has also hosted clubs from North Wales such as Caernarfon Town, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. Storthes Hall Hospital
Storthes Hall Hospital was a mental health facility at Storthes Hall, West Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1904, it expanded to over 3,000 patients during the Second World War. After the introduction of Care in the Community in the early 1980s, the hospital went into a period of decline and closed in 1992. History An area to the west of Storthes Hall Mansion, closer to Farnley Tyas, was chosen as a site for a psychiatric hospital in the early 20th century. The facility, which was designed by J. Vickers-Edwards using a compact arrow layout, opened as the Fourth West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 1904. The facility became known as the Storthes Hall Mental Hospital in 1929 and as the West Riding Mental Hospital in 1939. Huddersfield Town W
Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The town is in the foothills of the Pennines. 2023–24 North West Counties Football League
The 2023–24 North West Counties Football League season is the 42nd in the history of the North West Counties Football League, a football competition in England. Teams are divided into three divisions: Premier Division, at Step 5, and Divisions One North and South, at Step 6. The allocations for Steps 5 and 6 this season were announced by The Football Association on 15 May 2023, and were subject to appeals and FA ratification. Starting this season, the Premier Division (Step 5) in the league will promote two clubs; one as champions and one via a four-team play-off. This replaces the previous inter-step play-off system. West Yorkshire League
The West Yorkshire Association Football League is a football competition based in Yorkshire, England. It was previously known as the Leeds League until the name change in 1939. Although it is named the ''West Yorkshire'' League, clubs from the Harrogate and York areas of North Yorkshire also play in the competition. Currently the league has three senior team divisions, and two for reserves. Officially part of the National League System, the Premier Division is a step 7 (or level 11) league in the pyramid. The 2020–21 Buildbase FA Vase was the 47th season of the FA Vase, an annual football competition for teams playing in Levels 9 and 10 (steps 5 & 6) of the English National League System. The 2020–21 North West Counties Football League season was the 39th in the history of the North West Counties Football League, a football competition in England, and the third season following the split of the lower level into two geographically separated divisions. Teams are divided into three divisions: Premier Division, at Step 5, and Divisions One North and South, at Step 6. The allocations for Steps 5 and 6 for season 2020–21 were announced by the Football Association on 21 July, and were subject to appeal. On 6 August, it was announced by the League that the season would start no earlier than Saturday 3 October. The season was later suspended in December as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in England.
