Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium, ( bn, শেখ আবু নাসের স্টেডিয়াম) previously known as Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium is a Test cricket venue in Khulna, Bangladesh. History Khulna, situated in the south-western corner of the country, is the third-largest industrial centre in Bangladesh. The stadium holds 15,600 people and opened in 2004, as one of the five purpose-built cricket grounds established in the run-up to the 2004 Under-19 World Cup. It has a field dimension of 183 m X 137 m. It is the home stadium of the local Bangladesh Premier League franchise Khulna Titans. It was granted One Day International (ODI) status in January 2006. Sohag Gazi ( bn, সোহাগ গাজী; born 5 August 1991) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He made his Test debut in first test during West Indies's tour of Bangladesh in 2012, taking six wickets in the second innings. He is the first and so far, only man to score a century and take a hat-trick in the same Test match and the first man to do it twice in first-class matches (the thirteenth to do it once). Domestic career A spinner, he made his first-class debut in January 2009 for Barisal against Chittagong, going on to become a regular throughout the 2009/10, 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons. A strong start to the 2012/13 season, including an innings of 119 in the opening game of the season against Khulna earned him his maiden Test call-up, and subsequently his Test cap. Khulna Tigers ( bn, খুলনা টাইগার্স) are a franchise Twenty20 cricket team representing the Khulna division in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a Twenty20 cricket tournament. The franchise was owned by Gemcon Sports and was founded in 2016 as a replacement for the Khulna Royal Bengals who had participated in the first two seasons of the BPL.
