Sheffield United F.C. Academy
Sheffield United Football Club Youth Academy are the Youth system, youth team of Sheffield United F.C., Sheffield United. The Under-18 and Under-23 teams play in Professional Development League 2. The Academy is currently run by Jack Lester while Derek Geary coaches the U18s side. Sheffield United's youth system was given Academy status in December 2002. In July 2017 the academy was recognised, in a study conducted by Press Association Sport, for having the 7th best academy for minutes played in the 2016–17 Premier League. In between Arsenal and Chelsea they placed by far the highest for a club outside the Premier League, top-flight. The team plays at the Shirecliffe Ground at Firshill Crescent. Harry Boyes (footballer)
Harry Boyes (born 2 November 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Sheffield United. Career Born in Barnsley, Boyes began his career with Manchester City and Sheffield United. He spent time on loan in non-league with Bradford (Park Avenue), and Solihull Moors, where he was in the National League team of the season. He moved on loan to Forest Green Rovers in June 2022. Boyes spent the early part of the season injured. He was recalled by parent club Sheffield United on 2 January 2023 having played 16 times providing 3 assists in all competitions, and four days later he joined League One rival Lincoln City on loan for the remainder of the season. He made his debut a day later against Charlton Athletic on a 2–1 defeat. Boyes played a further 17 games for Lincoln before returning to his parent club at the conclusion of the season. Burao
Burao, also spelt Bur'o or Bur'ao (; so, Burco, , ar, برعو) is the capital of the Togdheer region and the second largest city in Somaliland. Burao was also the third largest city of Somalia. Burao was the site of the declaration of an independent Somaliland on 18 May 1991. Liban Abdi Ali ( so, Liibaan Cabdi; born 5 October 1988) is a Somali footballer who plays as a left winger. He previously played for Sheffield United in England, for Ferencváros in Hungary, for Olhanense in Portugal, and for FK Haugesund in his home country Norway. Harry Maguire
Jacob Harry Maguire (born 5 March 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Manchester United and the England national team. Maguire came through the youth system at Sheffield United before graduating to the first team in 2011. He totalled 166 professional games for the club and was their Player of the Year three consecutive times, also featuring in the PFA Team of the Year for League One as many times. Kyle Walker
Kyle Andrew Walker (born 28 May 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for club Manchester City and the England national team. Walker started his career at his boyhood club Sheffield United which he had joined at the age of seven. He was promoted to the first-team where he made his full Sheffield United debut at 18 years old against Leyton Orient after a loan spell at Northampton Town. Philip Nikodem Jagielka ( or ; born 17 August 1982) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Stoke City. Jagielka started his career with Sheffield United in 2000, where he played mainly as a central midfielder. He helped them achieve top-flight status for the 2006–07 season, after which he joined Everton for a £4 million fee. He later captained the club from 2013–2019, and totalled 385 games. He left Everton in 2019 after 12 years and returned to former club Sheffield United. Travis Binnion (born 10 November 1986) is an English-born Irish former footballer and cricketer who played football as a defender for IFK Mariehamn in the Finnish Premier Division. Jamie Hoyland
Jamie William Hoyland (born 23 January 1966) is an English former footballer who made more than 400 appearances in the Football League and Premier League playing in midfield in the 1980s and 1990s. He then turned to coaching. He is currently chief scout at Sheffield United. His father Tommy Hoyland had also played for Sheffield United from 1949 to 1961.
