Shea Fahy
Shea Fahy (born 6 October 1962) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. At club level he played with Sarsfields and Nemo Rangers and was a member of the Kildare and Cork senior football teams. Fahy usually lined out at midfield. Army career Fahy was an officer in the Irish Army. He was based in Collins Barracks, Cork and result leading him to join the Cork team. Playing career Fahy first played Gaelic football at club level with the Sarsfields club in Newbridge. After progressing through the various underage teams he went on to win County Championship titles with the club's senior team in 1982 and 1986. By this stage he had also made an impression on the inter-county scene, having joined the Kildare senior football team in 1982. Fahy subsequently transferred to the Nemo Rangers club in Cork and enjoyed a hugely successful period there, culminating with an All-Ireland Club Championship title in 1994. Sarsfields GAA (Newbridge)
Sarsfields is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Newbridge in County Kildare, Ireland, winner of 25 Kildare Senior Football Championships. The club name is linked to Patrick Sarsfield's castle in the area and the colours, green with white sash, were based on the colours allegedly worn by Sarsfield's men. Pat "Boiler" White (grandfather of current Kildare footballer Gary White) was a member of the Kildare Gaelic football team of the millennium. Niall Buckley was an All Stars Award winner at midfield in 1997. Dermot Earley was an All Stars Award at left half forward winner in 1998 and at Mid-Field in 2009. The 1993 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 105th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 13 December 1992. The championship began on 25 April 1993 and ended on 31 October 1993. O'Donovan Rossa were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Nemo Rangers at the quarter-final stage. On 31 October 1993, Nemo Rangers won the championship following a 0-13 to 0-04 defeat of St. Finbarr's in the final. This was their 10th championship title overall and their first title since 1988. The 1988 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 100th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 13 December 1987. The championship began on 24 April 1988 and ended on 30 October 1988. Nemo Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions. On 30 October 1988, Nemo Rangers won the championship following a 2-08 to 0-10 defeat of Duhallow in the final. The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. It has been organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964. Erin's Own GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Glounthaune in east County Cork, Ireland. The club is made up of players from Little Island, Knockraha, Brooklodge and Glounthaune areas of the parish.
