She Devils
She-Devils is an Argentine punk group that started 1995. The band has often been associated with the homocore and Queercore genres. The group members are: Patricia Pietrafiesa (bass and vocals), Pilar (guitar) and Inés (drums). Patricia Pietrafiesa previously played bass for the punk rock group Cadaveres de Niños and she was the publisher of ''Resistencia'', the very first punk fanzine that existed in Argentina. The members of the band are also part of the Mexican/Argentine tropical-punk band Kumbia Queers. Their recording debut was a split 7-inch with the band Fun People entitled ''El Aborto Ilegal Asesina my Libertad'' (''"Illegal Abortion Kills My Freedom"'') in the year 1997. In 1999 they released their first LP ''La Piel Dura''. Kumbia Queers
Kumbia Queers is Argentine tropical-punk band, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2007. History The project was born in Buenos Aires in 2007, the union of She Devils, Juana Chang and Florencia Lliteras (Happy Makers), (Argentina), with Ali Gua Gua of Las Ultrasónicas (México). At first, they played covers of The Cure, Madonna, Ramones, Black Sabbath, twisting them to the rhythm of cumbia with lyrics full of queer poetry and humor. With their third album, 2012 appeared, the group turned to their own songs and lyrics mainly. In summer 2012, the band went on their third tour in Europe. Within 27 days they played at 23 locations from Stockholm to Madrid in a total of 25 concerts. 2014 was the band in Latin America and - at the invitation of the jury of the SXSW Festival - traveling in the United States. Fun People
Fun People was a hardcore band from Argentina. Their lyrics were in English and Spanish, often mixing both languages in a single song or even line. Human and animal rights are frequent subjects in their lyrics. The band mixes punk music with other genres such as reggae, pop, tango, thrash metal and others. As the band became well known, skinheads who enjoyed the band's aggressive music in a violent way started to show up at concerts, prompting singer Nekro to call the band's genre "anti-fascist gay hardcore" in an attempt to get rid of those fans. For this reason Fun People is sometimes confused as queercore. History Early on, the band was called Anesthesia (as a tribute to Cliff Burton). Gay Rights
Rights affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people vary greatly by country or jurisdiction—encompassing everything from the legal recognition of same-sex marriage to the death penalty for homosexuality. Non-violent
Nonviolence is the personal practice of not causing harm to others under any condition. It may come from the belief that hurting people, animals and/or the environment is unnecessary to achieve an outcome and it may refer to a general philosophy of abstention from violence.
