Lev Kirillovich Shchukin (russian: Лев Кириллович Щукин; 29 October 1923 2 May 2009) was a Soviet MiG-15 flying ace during early phase of the Korean War. After being badly injured from bailing out of his stricken plane he continued to serve as an officer in the Soviet Air Force and was sent to various communist countries as a military adviser. Early life Shchukin was born on 29 October 1923 to a working-class family in Noginsk. They soon moved to Krasnodar, where he entered a local aeroclub in 1939, which he graduated from in June 1941. Continuing his aviation career, he went on to graduate from the Odessa Higher Military School of Pilots in 1944 as a junior lieutenant. However, he did not see combat in World War II since he was a flight instructor and later assigned to a reserve regiment until August 1945. Olga Shchukina ( uz, Ольга Щукина; born April 6, 1977, in Tashkent) is a retired Uzbek shot putter. Shchukina was selected to the Uzbek Olympic squad in the shot put at the 2004 Summer Olympics, but her feat had been outweighed with a doping failure for testing positive on clenbuterol during the pre-competition screening, which resulted to her immediate expulsion from the Games. Boris Vasilyevich Shchukin (russian: Бори́с Васи́льевич Щу́кин) (, Moscow — 7 October 1939, Moscow) was a Russian and Soviet actor, theater director and pedagogue. In 1936, Shchukin was among the first group of recipients of the honorary title of People's Artist of the USSR. In 1941, he was posthumously awarded the Stalin Prize. He was most famous for his portrayals of Vladimir Lenin. On October 7, 1939, Shchukin died of cardiovascular disease in Moscow. Stepan Semyonovich Shchukin (Russian: Степан Семёнович Щукин; 1754, Moscow - 10 October 1828, Saint Petersburg) was a Russian portrait and watercolor painter. Some sources give his year of birth as 1762. Biography He was the son of an army sergeant and was apparently abandoned by his family. His first art lessons were taken with Dmitry Levitzky at the Imperial Academy of Arts. Anna Vasilyevna Shukina (; also transliterated as Shchukina or Schukina; born 5 November 1987) is a Russian retired ice hockey defenceman and former member of the Russian national ice hockey team. In December 2017, Shukina was banned for life by the Oswald Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for doping violations made while participating in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
